Got Jor-El and I'm loving him. Beautiful figure although like everyone else I'm going "huh?" at the inclusion of this base. It will be fantastic for Superman - but for non-flight Jor-El it's pretty useless. I leaned him up against the flexi-rod. Also the cap that is supposed to screw on the top of the flexirod just sits there and doesn't screw on - the hole is too big.

The base is going to be great for the right characters - almost any character would be okay jumping or flying. But Jor-El isn't one of them.

they are huge. No way 3 will fit in a shelf.
The base detail itself is beautiful (but oversized) the bendy arm however is just horrible IMO.

Thanks for the reply mate, only just remembered I asked the question :slap

Shame we won't be able to fit all 3 figures on the same shelf :(

Anyone else hoping they do the armoured version?

I do .. If you think a bit .. Hot toys have the head .. Finish in the movie Jor el is the same pretty much the hole film ... Even in the battle suit ... So my guest it will be a away for hot toy to milk this .. Licenses more .
I hope the come out with jor el batle suit and feora ...

DC and PAK both did the armour. It might have been a case of HT didn't have sufficient reference to do that version in time for the film's release. Now that they have seen the film, they can do it. I want it bad. For all of his screentime in the film, Crowe was a ****ing badass.

I think it will be more like they couldn't pattern the armour in less than a year, so chose the easier cloth suit with robes.

Yeah an armored version would be awesome. Though I would be pissed that I bought the regular Jor-el. :lol At this point I just hope Superman turns out as good as the prototype. The head sculpt is brilliant, I hope the final product lives up to it.

not sure if this is anything or not ,but i just got a jor el body boots and suit from a parts seller ,and on inspection the suit seemed bonded to its self under the arms ,where it had been touching ,i pulled it apart and it slightly damaged the surface of the suit ,the suit is a lovly material ,its hard to describe but it seems like fabric that has a bonded rubber texture on the top ,this is what seems to have stuck to its self , the first and last pics are of the unstuck arm and the others are of the sticking arm ,i find it hard to belive that this is glue residue as i dont think glue would be used in the sewing of these suit ,the worrying thing is that this figure shares the same fabric as supes and to a lesser extent zod ,im going to put the arms down and see if it resticks ,jor els going to be wearing his frock any way so it wont show either way ,any one else seen this on there figure ,sorry for the crappy pics ,ill try to get better shots later
