I'm would not say that the "real" hair is necessarily bad. Please don't misunderstand. But it is not appropriate for the kinds of toys discussed on this forum. However, there are other forums out there where folks might feel more comfortable discussing those kinds of issues:

i've seen some figures with real hair that looked fantastic though mostly customs & they were either mohair or something similar. the synthetic barbie hair is what does not always translate so well. but i agree with GB that it need to be on a longer haired figure.
having said all that i was major impressed with the sculpted hair on the HT dutch but blown away on the hair for the T-800. HT seems to have that down to a science now. but it really all comes down to preference & what figure it is.
