My DT’s have happily been on standby awaiting this release, so stoked! I would still get more if there was a 2pk. Really hoping for a deluxe Krennic with his L’ahmu rain gear
I can finally ditch repainting the sculpt of my fill-in Stunt Krennic!

Veers (and more specifically, Julian Glover) has a certain je ne sais quoi that makes him stand out in my mind as the most memorable officer. Piett too, only because he has such a bigger role, and he does terror so well when confronted with Vader. I'd like to see Veers done right by Hot Toys - in his full officer suit, with removable Hoth AT-AT armor. Honestly, I don't know why he should stand out, he has such a small role and doesn't do anything extraordinary, but Glover brings something to the role that just grabbed me.

I think it's because they actually come off as strong leaders who really don't cower in Vader's presence, which is why we all like Tarkin. Veers and Piett actually got **** done without being feeble and incompetent.

Veers and Piett just feel like they're above the likes of Ozzel, Jerjerrod and Motti. They're not cowards. And they're definitely much better than new guys like General Hux and Krennic, who come off as ridiculous caricatures of stereotypical weak villains.

Beyond the fact it is to me the best announcement of 2018, it also gives a huge boost of confidence that characters that HT passed on in the last few years are definite no releases. Now, give me Cassian and Baze and i'll be perfectly happy with my Rogue One shelf.

For those, me included, that are waiting for a General Veers, this Director Krennic is also a step in the right direction. Tarkin gave HT the blueprint for imperial uniforms. I would be really surprised if HT were to stop after only a couple releases taking advantage of this R&D project.

I'm sure Krennic will be paired with another figure. Death Trooper or a Stormtrooper seems likely, but I wouldn't rule out an all "new" Vader 5.0 (Mustafar Castle ver.).

Honest question: why is this figure such a big deal for people?

I don't ask that because I want to crap on anyone's figure desires--you want what you want and I'm glad you're getting it after waiting so long. I'm just interested to hear why, because to me he was mostly a forgettable weasel.

For me I like to have a variety of villains and we don't get a ton of Imperial officers. Plus Krennic has a unique look in comparison to a lot of the Imperial officers with the white uniform and cape as opposed to the more olive green uniform of someone like Tarkin or most others.

Agreed, the stark white uniform against his squad of Death Troopers looks great. He’s a good villain though, different, consumes by his own ambition and weasely is an apt description.

Agreed. This is an outfit that would probably stand out and look even better in figure form than it does in the movie. And yes Krennic was a weasel, but Mendelsohn played him so well and with such relish that he became one of the most memorable SW villains in a while. And he's one of the characters from that movie that I probably enjoy watching most.

I saw him in person at a LCS after he sold out on the web, and just couldn’t resist. I’d army build them with some RO Stormies if I could. And agreed, Rogue One is tops for Disney SW and it’s not even close.

That’s what I’m hoping for. That opening scene he’s wearing something similar or the exact same outfit maybe.
