i've got the x300. it's awesome! best pistol light on the market. disgustingly bright. waiting for my kimber to come back from the shop with it's new rail. any day now. 180 is a great price, the usually go for 250.

i personally stay away from lasers. don't really have a reason, i just do. unless it's an IR laser and i'm using NVG's.

i've also got an HK MK23 outfitted with the insight LAM. it looks naked without it.

I ended up grabbing the x300. It's crazy bright and doesn't add much weight to it at all. Easy to slip on and off the rail.

I took the HK45 to the range and shot around 100 rounds with it. Absolutely loved it. I didn't want to stop shooting. The feel in the hand and ability to fire off shots quickly were great. Love the easy mag release. Smooth like butta.

My mom took some shots and didn't like the size of it. The grip was too big for her taste. My wife did OK with it but probably needs something smaller as well. She is still trying to get comfortable shooting.

Only my second time shooting a gun and really getting bit by this bug. Bought a .22 Sig Sauer Mosquito for some cheap shooting fun and pick it up on Wednesday. Going to a gun show tomorrow and will have to try hard to resist getting anything else.

i finally attached my scope. i'm quite impressed with the image quality. crystal clear! i can't wait to engage my targets from 100 yards.

Ed, this is just uncalled for. Posting these pictures is like giving crack to a crackhead. Just trying to feed the addiction. I've already got a love for HK and you have to go and post this gun porn. Absolutely fabulous! I'd like to see a shooting comparison to this and the Sig 556 rifle.

just for you Keith! :D

speaking of the Sig 556. my co-worker just updated his with an 3x magnifier. i'll be shooting the SL8 for the first time next friday.

it's a 10/30 mag. that shouldn't be a flash suppressor. i believe it's a muzzle break. stock is ok as long as it fits within the allowable size limits. on the other hand a folding stock is illegal.

concerning the muzzle break/flash suppressor i use the terms interchangeably. whatever the case it's definitely looks like the kind surefire makes to mate with their cans. just tell your bud to be careful when showing it off.

i'm not criticizing or anything. hell, i'd love to be able to get one so i can shoot in my own yard without scaring the neighbors.

how the hell do you have that in CA?

supressor mountable flash hider, 30 rd mags, collapsable stock

i'm jealous.

FIRST I AM NOT A LAWYER and I am not giving any legal advice ALWAYS CONSULT THE LAW .

From what I have read the state of California has ruled that you can not ban a weapon by type or features , it has to be banned by Manufacture and name , the state does not want to keep expanding the list of banned weapons as they have to offer amnesty every time they update it ,so if you AR/AK whatever style receiver is not listed , technically is legal and does not fall under the Assault rifle ban .
BUT and a big one , this does not mean you will not be arrested , and your firearm confiscated , you will have to go to court , and spend thousands of dollars to fight it , and the odds or getting your firearm back are slim to none , so your taking a huge chance .

I recommend doing a search online for California Assault weapons ban and read for yourself , there is some really good information out there , but talk to a lawyer who specializes in this law .

you bring up a very important and highly debated topic. you are correct regarding our rights when it basically comes down to owning these types of firearms. from what i've read about this as citizens we have a very slim chance should we face local law enforcement who for whatever reason may see against you owning it. there are complicated regulations that keep the configurations in check but it may not matter to the LEO (law enforcement officer) who may not be aware.

here's a couple of helpful links for CA gun owners.

overall i'm not worried about owning these types of weapons because i purchased them legally and are in legal configuration. i don't do anything unlawful. i am not a felon nor conduct in illegal activities. i'm just a US citizen who like most people go to work every day to make a living for his family. the laws here are in constant change. i'm an NRA member (hehe. kinda funny to say that) and i get emails about the current laws that are about to be contested. it's scary to think what could get passed but i just go with the flow. :)

Went to gun show today and pretty much anything that peaked my interest was cheaper at my local gun shop. They were doing a sale this weekend and I broke down and got a sig p220 combat for $890. Only come with one mag which sucks.

ah, i see.
CA has a different approach.
in NY, all albany did was to copy and paste the 1994 AWB and edit out the sunset clause.

concerning my mil spec ar (minus 3 rd burst), i have a LOT of friends/acquaintances in LE who expressed to me that any local LEO would not notice the minor differences and that my credentials past and present would be a boon.

However, all that being said, i still won't take it to the range. :(

Smart move !!

I had many AK's before the ban , instead of messing with the registration and the risk of being innocent and going to jail , I got rid of everything through sales and gifts to friends and family , for me they won as it was not worth the risk , I do have my Mini and M1 , but I am not allowed any mags over 10 rounds , not a big deal as I don't really shoot much anymore , and if I want to play Rambo , I can go to my buddies house where I have my remaining black guns , its just a long expensive trip across the country to pop a few rounds off LOL

as promised

all i need is a good IWB holster. either raven or blade-tech, whoever gets their novak rail mold first.
