I continue to love this game more and more. I guess, it is because I am a car guy. Can't put the controller down. Well, unless I have to eat, sleep, and go to work. :)

Great pics vodoun.

It was so unappeaing that you stumbled into this thread? :huh

The appeal for me is that they provide for me a sense of what different cars are capable of. As a car guy, I like to know how cars perform and really enjoy the simulated driving.

ROFL you're an idiot if you think driving a ferrari in GT5 is comparable or anything remotely similar to driving one in real life. nerd.

It's even more addictive with a full wheel setup. ;)

I'm LOVING these seasonal events. They're better than the damn spec-races. Buying the needed car, then carefully tweaking what has to be done and driving the absolute pants out of it to win is freakin' awesome. No room for error and I love how you have to play around to find the right combo of suspension and gearing. I've golded them all bar one.

Also, that last Top Gear track race in the Nazi looking cars is just, ____ing, pathetic.
They could NOT have ruined that track more, if they tried. Every single one of those races should be in Lambo's and Merc's and Fezza's and stuff, and they're all in the most useless cars in the whole damn game.

Why are those ____boxes even in the game. Sure, they have novelty aspect but really, I don't buy a racing game to drive a 30hp Kombi or some Neubellwaffen POS, on one of the most anticipated tracks of all time. Don't even get me started on the fact that if I even touch the red and white follow-through lines - I'm disqualified. And how dare the Stig even touch one tiny millimetre of that grass. He should be disqualified instantly and have to start the whole 5 minute laps again.
Shame on you Polyphony.

I have stated to play again some more and I am completely offended by the way some cars were handled. Why does my 69 Corvette sound like some rice burner from fast and the furious? Second they made it handle like a giant brick only made to go in a straight line. I have all the driving aids off and if you step on the throttle just a little hard and not pointed 100% straight the back end is coming around and your doing a 180.

Yeah, some of the cars get out from ya a little easier than I would think their real counterparts would.

Finished the pro part of the A-spec section. Think I'll finish off the the A-spec before starting B.

As a motoring journalist, I've driven a number of cars in the game and can honestly say that most of the physics are up to the _____ when it comes to real life comparisons.
They'll just never get it spot on without the cornering effects and G forces on your body, as that greatly affects your movements and car position for a start.
Most of the cars with the 'comfort' and even sports tyres I'd consider largely, almost undriveable compared to their real life counterparts.
The most impressive thing in my mind is the way that the cars will buck and dance around under braking. Quite realistic, especially for most of the cars with limited, to no proper downforce. Some of the more racey cars seem to do it more excessively though, which is pretty odd...

So, did anyone check out Spa? custom paints, gear etc, DLC to be out every two months apparently...

I don't care how much stuff they put out for DLC. They need to add more premium cars to the game and get rid of those "standard" cars with mediocre in-car views and graphics from 2001. And enough with the JDM crap. This game has no love for USDM or EDM cars what so ever. How many Skylines do we have? Like a few hundred. Almost literally.
