Re: Freaktacular 2016

We have heard all the horror stories all ready of people traveling down to Oregon for the full eclipse... its nuts.

I hear that. Nashville supposedly has several hundred thousand visiting for tomorrow. I'm fortunate as I'll only have to drive a couple of miles to see totality, so should be able to avoid the inevitable traffic nightmare.

Re: Freaktacular 2016

My brother is in Iowa and is taking my nephew to Missouri to see the full one. He said it not too bad where he is. I'll just enjoy his pictures. [emoji3]

Re: Freaktacular 2016

I'm going to try tomorrow.
The forecast is 'Partly Cloudy' and even with clear skies, the best we'll get here in LA is 73% totality.

Re: Freaktacular 2016

I'm going to be driving when the eclipse occurs. Not looking forward to it as many idiots will stop or not pay attention to what they are doing while on the road.

Re: Freaktacular 2016

I'll pop outside at noon and take a quick look. No special plans

Here's what we had in Texas: IMG_2945.jpgIMG_2956.jpgIMG_2962.jpgIMG_2969.jpg

Re: Freaktacular 2016

In cloudy Chicago it was more like a total eclipse of the fart.

Re: Freaktacular 2016

I saw about 99.7% totality and it was pretty freaking awesome. I would have seen 100% except I was reassigned to a different school to help out for the day. Oh well, I almost saw a total eclipse.

Re: Freaktacular 2016

Unrelated note...does anyone have contact info for banthafett? I've sent him a couple of private messages with no responses, and his profile shows his last activity was back in January...

I had one his contest last Spook, and the prize never arrived...and now it's no longer available for ordering so I think I'm screwed :(

Re: Freaktacular 2016

In FL it just got a little tiny mark. Barely anything :lol
People were buying glasses like crazy and there was a party to view it ( you had to pay) and it barely showed lol

Freaktacular 2016

Did it look red like that?

It was a Blood Moon Solar Eclipse

JK. I used an old floppy disc to shield my camera lens, which gave that awesome red effect. That, plus that free Halloween Returns soundtrack have me ready for Halloween already!

Re: Freaktacular 2016

I had 100% totality where I was. I was anxious all day, worried that it was going to storm during the eclipse but I was able to see it in its entirety. Truly the coolest thing I've ever seen. Dark as night at 1:08 PM.

Wish I could have taken better pics.
