Is efx still planning on making this? I know Hot Wheels Elite is going to be making a 6" Millennium Falcon later this year - will it be bigger than that?

Apparently this has been pushed in development. A flyer has surfaced somewhat recently on the Falcon. With SW Celebration happening in 4 months, you can probably bet that eFX will have a painted model to show and some actual info.

But they have yet to officially comment of course.

Hmmm.. 15 cm is roughly The length of a dollar bill. That's like the vintage Die Cast size.

Did you consider the falcon from the miniature game? It's nearly the same size as the hot wheels one (13cm long) and costs much less.

Don't know the price in us and if it's available atm. In europe it's sold out atm but the next batch will arrive around march and cost 20-25€.
You should also check the Tantive IV model, really nice ship and great for displaying if you don't want to play the game.

Actually I did consider that! But it's still $40 for a tiny plastic model - at least the HWE version will be metal...though that may come at the cost of overall detail. The Tantive IV model does looks great though and I'm seriously considering it.

If you guys need something to hold you over, just get the Revell SnapTite pre-painted model.
Its about 14" long, good detail, opening ramp, removable landing gear, and if you don't like the paint scheme, just weather it.

They have said this is about 10" and will retail for around $250 (that was in 2009 dollars). I was hoping it was bigger, but I'll buy this.
