Mine was shipped 1 month ago from usa i think... cross to the other side of the world and arrives to me las week. i think he takes a lot of temperature changes... any way, no problems on him :)

It's been about a month and a half since I removed the tape covering the magnet. As of the time of this writing, the residue/oil/whatever has not returned.

Whether or not the issue of the abs leaking oil is real or not does not dispute the fact that people are experiencing oily or greasy substances on areas other than the abdomen. Like in this board below, last person experienced oil like substance on shoulder just like Collector NC.

Also the person on the you tube clip below said the figure is oily just after he was unboxing it.

Personally I do not think the figure should be oily at all. Is it really true that they used oil to fit the figure in the suit?

Yeah it acts as lubrication to help the suit slide onto the body. I'm pretty sure this issue is minimal. There have been very few reports of it.

Edit: and after having just watched that video, it appears the oil he found on his figure was coming out of his boot which would seem reasonable as they are separate from the body. Oil could easily run out of the gap between the boot and the leg.

Thanks for explaining so much Jokes & Bats, I really wanted this figure but was scared off by this thread. Now I think I will just risk it and get it.

I really think that this is the oil in question, the one used to get the suit on in the first place.

Any experienced modeller will tell you that a fine liquid (such as a light lubricant) can easily find its was along seams and grooves using 'capillary action'

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capillary_action

..secure two hull halves together with tape or elastic bands and apply a small amount to the the inner join line...the capillary action will draw that liquid adhesive along its length like magic.

I think that is what has happened with this figure. Light lubricant, lots of edges and seams to travel along...oil leaks make it outside the suit.

Well I've had my Bats for almost a week now and no oil has appeared. When I got him he had a strip of black tissue paper around the waist under the belt. I think if there was going to be any oil, that paper soaked it up before I got him.

At least I hope that's the case. :)
