Disney/Lucasfilm make it official: existing Star Wars EU "NON-CANON"

I'v read a lot of the EU content over the years and was a big fan. There was a lot of good writing and story telling. I'm not sure how to take the news mostly because Disney hasn't really earned my trust yet but I'll be open. Other than Avengers, they have a lot of bad story telling in their inventory. I just hate to see good content thrown away. Seems to be the trend these days. Buy the characters but ditch the historical writing because Hollywood writers are so much better.

I would say Disney storytelling in general is roughly 1 million percent better than Star Wars EU storytelling.
