Hey Clipper,

It's unfortunate we cant get that exclusive J here in the US I would love to have that in my collection!! If it is anyway possible for me to get that please let me know. By the way Rick, you're an excellent reviewer and I've bought quite a few figures because of you, some I've even questioned until I saw your honest reviews.
 
I've been repainting a bike for one of my gangsters. Gonna put spade 3 on it. Just got to finish is.

Watched all 4 parts. Usually I enjoy your reviews but this one was honestly a little too long. :lol

Anyway, it helped me to decide wether I lkie them or not. Unfortunatly I am sold which doesnt help my budget or space issue. Maybe I just sell my MK VI for these. :lol
 
it had to be long buddy , im doing four figures at once lol lol and I have to talk slow coz no one understands me lol lol and I think at less than £100 each when theyre new is pretty good on the collection budget .....and the original Spade J and 2 have risen in price more than a lot of hot toys do !!!! and with the introduction of the upcoming secretly shipped variants someones gunna hit the jackpot
 
also anyone who owns a bike for one of these figures , are the 1/6 scale die cast bike in good scale with these figures because they sometimes seem a little undersized
 
I love this line. I have all of the retail figures (and am waiting for Diamond 2 - should have him on Monday!) The sculpts are fantastic, as are the clothing/accessories. Like others, I would love to have the Devgru head, but it's almost the cost of a full figure, so I'll have to pass.

Zebraten - love those customs; I had never seen the complete set of customs before - fantastic work!

I have collected these from Spade J onwards and pre ordered the rest. Great value in the scheme of 1/6 , considering the ever increasing price hot toys and the like demand , especially here in the UK. Sculpting , painting , tailoring are first class. Hoping to get the exclusive Spade J if I can. Zebraten your customs are fantastic , thanks for posting those pics , makes me want to get some extra sculpts
 
I've been a big fan of this line ever since they started. I really dig the cartoony look to the sculpts and they have a Danny Trejo sculpt coming which is freakn awesome.
 
I've got Vinnie Jones--he was sold out everywhere and going for an outrageous aftermarket price so I bought a Jones head and a cheap DAM gangster figure I wasn't interested in and just did a head transplant--and I can't wait for Trejo. I'm only picking up the actors I really like from this line, and actually Jones and Trejo are the only ones I had really heard of. That's why I'm hoping to see more recognizable (to me) faces soon--my number one want is Michelle Rodriguez, but I think Nic Cage would fit nicely as well!

Gangsters Kingdom Stories

NAME: Spade J

Ogier, a professional killer of New York's largest gang, they call him Jack of "Spade's J" they named the core members with the poker suit between gangs.

Ogier used to be the capable hands of the gang boss King of Hearts, "Red King", specialises is assassinations, disguises and received special combat skills training - a born killer.

But fate is like a wheel, like a cycle, Red K's only son - Billy killed by Ogier. The angered Red King put a price to hunt him down. Now Ogier is being hunted by the gang and began his free life.

Scene: a bar appears on the outskirts of New York City called 'Poison'. - Lens slowly closer to the bar - switch inside - 'in the darkness, through the moonlight coming out from the window, slightly transparent mapping out of the grounds in ruins, vaguely see few corpses of the fallen and a pool of blood.

Camera slowly goes forward to the back door of the bar - In the dimly-lit bar backstage hallway, only a damaged flashing lamp on the wall with crackling spark. Two corpses with gunshot lying on the ground. They are Red King's son-Billy's men. A half-open door at the end of the corridor left behind them.

The lens advancing slowly into the door. 'In the dim moonlight, two figures, one kneeling in front of another. A cold pistol pointed on the kneeler's forehead.

He is the only son of Red K, the heir to the family, nickname "Billy Kid". He is cold, hard, cruel and carries many life. But now he is kneeling, in front of him is Ogier.

NAME: Spade 2

"City of God" is the most dangerous slum in Rio. It is the heaven for drug and violence, and the hell of agony and despair---- this is the place even a devil would sigh and turn away.

This is also the first stop of Ogier's getaway, because Nelson, his brother, also his father's stepson, lives here.

Nelson is a British orphan adopted by Ogier's father. He is ten years younger than Ogier, tall and well built. He learned boxing for a while, but his favourite is always baseball, and he used to be a professional baseball player for a few years. His aggressive temper caused him many trouble over the years.

In afraid of him provoking scourges, Ogier's father had kept Nelson away from the gangs, but Nelson always want to join the gang and get his own spade card. The heir of each suit in the gang was assigned an ace, this card belongs to Ogier, but he only wants to be the Jack of Spades. Nelson was not recognised by his father, he only got a two of spades, and this is why he hold a grudge and ran away.

Nelson came to Rio ten years ago to start a business of drugs and guns. This place to him is heaven as well as hell.

NAME: Spade 3

CHAPTER 3：New hatred piled on old

Section 1：Pence

For an instant the god abandoned me in a twinkling the hell greets me.

-" Three of spades" Bernie is a sweeper, he cleans "sludge" for the gang: gets rid of those smaller gangs who do not obey.

"Jack of spades" Ogier discovered his potential from the street, and taught him fighting skills. Bernie did his job as a sweeper for five years. Being cruel and ruthless, he chopped all the way from a street punk to the three of spades with his proficiency of axe.

A new gang is active around the edge of Spade family's turf. Majority of its members are Mexican and they are based in an abandoned factory in the suburban. It is growing rapidly and snatching the family's market share. The family has given the sweeping order, which is to be carried out by the four of spades and Bernie.

Three vans galloped towards the abandoned factory, carrying 7 or 8 people. During the journey the four of spades asks Bernie. "Why do they call you pence?"

After a short silence, Bernie replies: "Once I was a little boy lived in a cheap council home. My father was either high or drunk, and he beat me almost every day. I was always hungry. One time I took several pence from his table for bread, he found out and beat me half to death. I grabbed an axe and chopped down, I kept chopping until exhausted...since then I became a regular prison visitor, an inmate gave me this nickname." Bernie keeps saying with an emotionless tone and blank face, flipping his axe back and forth.

"Each time I raise my axe, I feel like god has abandoned me, the moment I land it, the hell is greeting me...again." Bernie turns his head to the window.

NAME: Spade 4

CHAPTER 3：New hatred piled on old

Section 2：Piggy bank

Sin is unable to stop, Yet hope keeps going on.

"Four of Spades" Chad has been a part of the gang for many years; rumour has it that he is ruthless and bold in his early years. He is loyal to the gang and earned the trust he deserved, but he becomes cautious since his son was born. Chad wants to be a good dad, he loves his son and has great expectations in him. He wants to save enough money to send his son to a good university, and keeps his son away from his life path. His heart is filled with contradictions, and he becomes more and more gloomy.

"They call you piggy bank", Bernie turns around asking Chad.

"My son." Chad hands out a picture of his little boy to Bernie, I love him more than everything. I want to earn more money to ensure him a better school and future, one that's different from mine. Im afraid of dying someday, I wish that I could see hope each day I live."

"He will not be hungry." Starring at the photo, Bernie mutters.

Van pulls over near the abandoned factory. Chad opens a black gym bag and takes out a folding stock AK-47. He loads a dual magazine and cocks the bolt, kisses his cross necklace, draws a cross at his chest and then walks down the van. Others follow him, having their guns loaded. Bernie and the others pull up their ski mask, but Chad only puts on his sun glass and jokes: "dead people don't need to remember our face." Chad makes a gesture, the crowd spreads out and sneaks towards the factory.

Chad follows Bernie to the back entrance, he opens the door and Bernie steps in holding his shotgun. Inside the door is a corridor about 20 metres long, light is dim. They can only see faint light blinking around the corner, and hear the blurred sound of an old television. The gangs approach the corner slowly; Chad sticks his head out, peeks for a few seconds and draws his dagger. Walked through the corner, with a muffled sound, a guard lose his life to Chad's knife. After another 20 metres they come to a half-opened door. Chad takes a glance through the glass; the room is full of trunks and drug, seven or eight guards is busy loading the trunks. Chad kicks open the door and the gangs start strafing, those guards become riddled by the shower of bullets before they even have a chance...

NAME: Diamond 2

CHAPTER 3：New hatred piled on old

Section 3：turncoat

In natural selection, only the fittest could survive

It is not the strongest of the species that survive, but the one most responsive to change --- Charles Darwin

The Diamond family is the strongest and most ambitious one among the four gang families, its members includes Australians, Mexicans and Europeans. Ambition and power is all you need to earn respect in this family. This is a family even the Hearts would fear, and its structure is about to change by the coming of a traitor.

Alger, the 2 of diamonds, is the key that changes the power pattern of the four families. He used to be the sidekick of the J of Spades. Algers father was a follower of Ogiers father, the K of Spades, and earned his credits during the rising of Spade family. His father was very loyal to the K of spades, but as his position in the family rose, he eventually started to make plans for his own heir in the fear of nepotism in the family. He gave Alger hard training ever since he was a little child, so that Alger could assist the J of spades becoming the family successor in the coming years.

Since Alger was 6 years old, father taught him fighting techniques, and eventually sent him to China for martial arts training. Alger therefore became a fan of Chinese culture; he later had his arm tattooed in Chinese: in natural selection, only the fittest could survive.

Algers betrayal dated back to when he came back from China. He was 22 years old and already a combat master, not even J of spades could match him. After Alger came back to the family, he became J’s right-hand man, and J also saw Alger as his own brother. However, as time flows, human hearts changes too. Alger always expected J to inherit the family, but the Q siblings power were growing, the eventually J’s position in the family is threatened. Alger volunteered to sweep the obstacles, but J wouldn’t allow him to and chose to step back, this disappointed Alger. The seed of ambition in Algers heart started sprouting, he was unwilled to be merely a shadow behind J, he didn’t want to take his father’s path, and he felt that he would never get the respect and position that he deserved in the family.

If the disappointment in J was not the break point of Algers ambition and renegade, his father’s death was the last straw. The Q siblings trap lead to his father’s death, but J prohibited Algers revenge for the families joint interest. Alger was completely despair in the family, and in J. His ambition broke out at this point, his hatred speeded up the inflation of his ambition, and the flame of revenge in heart swallowed his humanity. But it was not easy to get rid of the Q siblings, he could carry on his own revenge only if he is powerful enough. Since the Spades family did not reserve a card for him, he chose to leave, to join a stronger family,

The K of diamonds always appreciated Alger, but he also had fear in Algers ambition, he only gave Alger a small card, the 2 of Diamonds. Alger was indifference with this; all he needed was a fair chance to earn all he needed with his fist. Thanks to his extraordinary combat skills, he quickly earned the trust of a few other cards in the jungle of diamond family; they were willing to follow him.

After several years of struggle, Alger raised the curtain of his comprehensive and enormous revenge plan Guards in the room soon become a bunch of sieves under the firepower 4 of spades and the others. 3 entered the room to check if there are any survivals, while 4 checked those drugs on the table, and signalled his men to move them away. Several spade gangsters started to move the drugs, 4 and 3 led the remaining men into other rooms. Entered a corridor and passed a pile of debris, with some muffled sound, two gangsters suddenly fall to the ground. At the very moment as 4 turned around, a dagger flied straight to his throat; he couldn’t dodge, all he could do in time was raising his arm as a shield. Before 4 was able to make any further move, a shadow flashed out, kicked right into his chest, and he flew several metres away. Heard the noise, 3 rushed to rescue and slashed the shadow with his axe, but was blocked by a pair of fist knuckles, power of the clashing almost dropped 3s axe from his hands. 3s combat skill was personally trained by J, yet he was knocked down after a few rounds, blood came pouring out from his mouth.

You are a blot to the family, 4 said, getting up from the ground, holding his dagger.

The shadow gradually revealed himself, he was the 2 of diamonds, traitor of the spades family.

NAME: Diamond 3

Chapter 4: Butcher Knife

The 3 of diamonds, Juarez, is born in Mexico. He was the boss of the Scorpion family, before one man, “the mad dog” betrayed him and sent him behind bars. He got out of prison with the help of a little cash, but all the gang members loyal to him were already eliminated by the mad dog. Juarez no longer had his prestige, and when his own gang started hunting him, he chose to fight back. Juarez returned to the gang with eleven knives in his coat, left behind a bloodbath and mad dog hanging by his own intestines. This incident caused an earthquake in the underworld of Mexico, eventually several gangs joined together wanting Juarez dead, left him no choice but smuggling into the United States. He joined the Diamond family, the K of Diamonds showed him enough appreciation, but only gave him a card of 3. This was good enough for the poor desperate Juarez. but he has not received any respect ever since. The 2 of Diamonds saw this opportunity; By his extraordinary fighting skill, he soon earned Juarez’s obedience. 2 got the loyalty of Juarez, as well as Juarez’s flying knife skill.



(Meanwhile…back in Rio) --- Memories Spade J

For professional hitmen, each and every one of their job memories is a nightmare. They are haunted all their life by their victims, breaking into their dreams, screaming, until they wake up in cold sweat.

Fragment of memory begins with a politician’s funeral. It was a damp and cold afternoon; rain drizzling from the dusky sky. Many people arrived at the cemetery, representing the underworld as well as the legal world. A bloated man walked into the centre of picture, his name was George, known as “the Otter”, a well-known middleman, and good relationship in both worlds. George and 2 of Diamond’s deceased father had close contact, plotting the eradication of Spades family, by joining the power of both the black and white world.

300 meters away there was an old church, a concealed platform was located at the top of the bell tower, masked by sparse branches of a tall tree. Nothing blocked sight from the platform to the cemetery, a perfect sniping position. The J of Spades picked up an ArmaLite AR-7 rifle, aimed at the crowds far away, trying to lock his target. He was smoking a pipe instead of the usual cigarette, so that the flare would not give his position away. Not long after, George arrived at the grave, escorted by several burly bodyguards, listening to the pastor’s prayer quietly. Everyone was focusing on the casket, perfect timing.

With a not-so-loud bang, a shell case jumped out. As blood spattered out from his forehead, George slowly collapsed to the ground. The bodyguards drew out their guns and surrounded George’s body immediately. Someone pointed to the direction of the church, remaining ones started sprinting towards the bell tower.

Ogier calmly dissembled and packed the rifle into a leather bag, then pulled out a Glock 17 with extended magazine. As he ran downstairs, the bodyguards closest to the church had already entered the entrance, a big game is about to begin…

With two successive gunshots, the last bodyguard fell to the ground. Ogier ran through the woods at the back of the church and arrived at a road, while a BMW had been waiting for a long time, he rushed into it. Before Ogier could even sit tight, the car galloped away, and faded into the darkness…


NAME: Spade 5

CHAPTER 4：The war began.

Section 1：Declaration of war.

Baron, the 5 of Spades, is a former SAS sniper. He joined the army with a simple wish: shooting enemies on the battlefield. But the reality seems enjoy going against wishes. Baron finally received an order to eliminate an important member of Al-Qaeda; he had been waiting long enough for this chance, and this mission made him energetic all day long. Finally he placed the target in the middle of his crosshair, while suddenly the target picked up a child and hold in his arms. Baron had a little moment of hesitate. The reality always throws to us single-choice questions, and we only have one chance, but making this choice would sometimes make us lost our mind. Being a devil, you can destroy everything before your eyes; but if you are a saint, you have to live with your choice.

After retirement from the army, Baron could not find a proper job, not even a place to stay. He tried to keep himself drunk every day, so that he could stop from thinking of that picture, the child’s face. Referred by a comrade back in the army, Baron picked up a job to carry out those dirty works for the mob, utilizing his sniping skills. At first he did not want to do this anymore, but life did not leave him much choice, especially when poverty was challenged by lucrative payments. Soon as he pulled the trigger again, more jobs kept coming in. He soon got the trust from the Spades family via his precision and cleanness, and eventually he began to work solely for the Spade family. Finally, he earned himself a card in the family, as well as the love of the 6 of Spades, little sister of J.

Spade family received the message from the 2 of Diamonds, a hand with national flag tattoo, asking for a 200K ransom. The 6 of Spades was furious and insisted that the family going to rescue, but she was stopped by the Q siblings. Young and aggressive, the 6 of Spades could not tolerate that her own crew being discarded like this; she gathered 5, 7 and several other hands to make the exchange.

The deal was scheduled at a wasted sawmill in the suburban area, surrounded by dense forest and away from cops eyes and ears. In the middle of the construction site was a little clear area encircled by three wooden cabins: the best place to make a deal, to ambush and snipe, and to bury dead bodies.

The 5 of spades found a perfect sniping location; he carefully blended himself into the surrounding environments, with a little help from his military camouflage. Should anything unexpected happen during the exchange, he would not hesitate to eliminate any glitches

A bloodbath is about to begin, and the Spades family will suffer an unprecedented loss because of this reckless transaction.


Side Story：Saxon

The hope was promised with sweet taste, but life cannot escape from the bitter ending.

Saxon earned his position in the early years with several little buddies; the K of Spades was the youngest yet most ambitious one among them. Saxon had a dream of establishing his own kingdom.

Together the buddies snatched smaller gangs and swallowed their turfs; little by little they were getting closer to their dream. But the desire of human beings, driven by their greediness, became a monster; they could hold each other in poor, but not in wealth, till eventually death tore them apart…As the gang was only a few steps away from total success, the K of Spades turned away; Saxon was set up and sentenced for life, his wife and children were killed one by one. A desire devoured by another.

However, Saxon already prepared himself a way of escape; he stashed a batch of gold and diamonds before being locked behind bars. The K of Spades beat and tortured him, sent him enough death threats, but K could not get the answer. Saxon got used to all these, until the day he was diagnosed with cancer. He was getting old and skinny; time deepened the wrinkles on his face like a carving knife.

The K of Spades offered him a deal: getting him out of prison to spend his remaining life peacefully with best medical cares, in exchange for the hiding place of the treasure. Albeit hope always being sweet while promised, human’s fate cannot escape from the bitter ending of death. Saxon knew himself wouldn’t survive too long from his cancer, he did not expect any miracle in his remaining life, he was ready to die in prison. But he still held a faith before his inevitable end:revenge. Revenge on the K of Spades. Revenge on anyone related to K of Spades. Revenge. It is a tattoo on human’s heart, which does not fade and cannot be erased.

He made an appointment with the Diamonds family.

This is the last thing he must do before his death……。
 
To sum it all up pretty much...we have J on the run hiding out in Rio, with His brother Nelson (Spade 2), for killing the Red Kings Son, 'Billy Kid', Billy might have been sent after J in the first place as payback for J killing George 'The Otter'. Back in New York, Spade 3 and 4 were sent out to 'sweep and clean' a new gang that was moving in on their turf only to be captured by Diamond 2 and 3. We have no idea the fate of Spade 4 as yet but we know that Spade 3's right hand was severed and sent to the Spade family with a ransom note attached for 200k. This in turn has pissed off Spade 6, J's sister, who with Spade 5 and 7 are going out to make the ransom exchange with the diamond gang. Spade 6 isn't interested in letting the Diamond's get away with this so has Spade 5 (the sniper) there to take the Diamonds out if he gets the chance. The story suggests that this doesn't go well for the spade gang and perhaps J's sister, spade 6, will be killed. If that's the case I can see J coming back from Rio for some major asskicking.

So, spade 4 alive or dead? What do you think?
