I dunno, I've always found Moore to be entertaining, and he always sparks spirited conversations, so that's a good thing, imo.

Shoot, rush is a moderate by today standards. Ever listen to Glen Beck or even Michael Savage? Now there's some extreme conservatism entertainment.

I am a conservative. I like Rush. I enjoy Beck, though he can be a bit of an alarmist. Hannity is sharp, but a bit repetitive (and he cannot ask a question in less than 500 words). Mark Levin is absolutely fantastic.

But, Michael Savage is an absolutely certifiable, narcissistic, raving lunatic. He falls ass-backward into the right answer on occasion ... but, honestly, he's entirely intolerable. It would not surprise me at all if it turned out he was a liberal making his living doing a caricature of what he thought conservatives were like. He went to Berkeley, after all.

As for Moore -- capitalism is simply what people do when you leave them alone. It is the natural economic state of man ... using the fruits of your God-given talents to purchase the fruits of another's talents. To implement any other economic system requires government coercion ... which, in my opinion, is beyond the proper role of government.

Moore is a fraud. He's a socialist when he makes his movies -- but a capitalist when he cashes the checks. He dresses like a regular schlub, but its nothing but a facade ... he's sitting on millions. I do not begrudge a man his financial successes. But I do begrudge a man who attempts to use those successes to tear down the very system that made him a success ... and thus try to prevent others from achieving the same success he did.

He's a self-made man trying to put an end to self-made men everywhere.

That was very well said. I wish I could speak so level-headedly.

I can only tolerate a little bit of Savage. The show is entertaining whenever I'm driving out late enough to hear it, but he is definitely far far right. Beck is definitely an alarmist, but I like to see the video and audio footage of whats actually being said, regardless if it's taken out of context. When you say certain things, the context really isn't important. And GB exposes that. His coverage of the czars is very interesting.

I picked up Levin's L&T book a week ago, reading it slowly during breaks at work. Lots of history in that book.

If liberty and tyranny are mutually exclusive, so are capitalism and socialism.

Don't get sucked in. Certifiable IMO

Moore has done an outstanding job at making himself rich by presenting half the story in a biased and interesting fashion, I'll give you that. I still need to see Bowling for Columbine, which I "backed up."

Bowling for Columbine is an entertaining film. I don't really agree with how he presents his "facts" but he does know how to make a decent movie.
