Actually I can't get over how much more this made me appreciate the piece. It really brought it to life!!

I was feeling down about it. Disappointed. I would go look at it in my display room and feel that there was something lifeless about it. It reminded me of the Hasbro 12 inch figure in how stiff it seemed. I thought perhaps I was regretting not getting the EX versions... At least they would pop!!!

BUT Being able to arch the back made all the difference. It just brought 3PO to life and gave him his character. I am officially starting to fall in love with this piece.

I saw from the instruction sheet that the torso articulates at the waist so I just tried all planes of movement.

Here is a little update pic of my EX droids before I package them back in the box...added a little detail to the background and placed the Deathstar behind my droids...eventually when I have these on display at my new home I'll make the background bigger but was just testing to see how the effect looks..

Droids arrived today and to make it short and sweet this set is amazing. I especially love R2. I don't even mind the weight issue as R2 just looks so good. There's been so many awesome pics but with this set there can never be to many. Here are a few of mine.

My PF's are an homage to my first 12, 1977 action figures (with Tarken instead of the Death Squad Commander) - and a couple of extras

When photos of the EX first hit I thought it was hideous, but since better shots have gone up I definitely think they did a great job - however - every time I see them now I think of prequel droids. So with my tip of the hat to 77, I'm loving having dirty droids for the first time. Every previous 3PO and R2 have been clean, so it's nice to see quality versions finally available of both dirty and clean.
