It's very hard to tell from this picture I took during the Star Wars Exhibit in Wichita, the neck is silver.

Damn artoo and c3peeo light up features both look awesome might have to order this next month. They weren't must for me but I cannot say no to dirty artoo!! 1

Do all the c3peeo all have that silver along the neck?

My shiny versions are suppose to arrive on Tuesday. If no one has posted pics by then I will definitely get them up here for you all.

Looking at these photos I am not sure how anyone can complain. They look fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few final photos of them in their new home

Okay gents, here's mine.

In the hand - these are drop-dead amazing!!!!! I must admit, I'm a fussy prick, and I can tell you these have exceeded my expectations.

I've also got the EX on order, but the weathering on these two gives it an undeniable reality; like they've been lifted straight of the screen!

(PS - I did a color-grade on the bottom shot to highlight how weathered they actually are).

OK, here we go!

First, R2.

Frontal shot which gives a good idea of the weathering:

Pic of the rear. Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but the circular light changes from red-blue-green and the rectangular box flashes different colors to give it a scrolling effect. The 2 telescope pieces move but do not light up:

R2, you look like you're happy to see me!

Note the circular light at the front changes from red to blue:

A look at the underside. Ah, he IS a boy! (As if the 3rd leg wasn't evidence enough):

I'll post some 3PO next!

Great to see the overwhelming positive vibes in this thread! Mine get here Tuesday, but I won't be able to get to them until Wednesday - but it will be worth the wait.

A look at the jaundice eyes C-3PO has been plaqued with in every film and a good look at some of the weathering effects. I hope someone can confirm if the neck is suppose to be silver:

Hit that high note 3PO! I think the arms can go higher than this but I stopped after a firm stop. Shoulders, elbows, and wrists are all points of articulation:

If someone can confirm, I believe the right shoe is also suppose to be silver:

Details of the hands and pistons. Note, I received this piece with the pistons hanging out. Even Sideshow acknowledges that this might happen in their included instructional sheet. Carefully place them back together:
