I find it very strange that "Anonx" join date is so recent and the number of posts seem limited to this and only this topic.

HMMM . . .

Maybe anonx is Winston Dunlop himself using a shill account created for this sole purpose? Online forums and anonymity . . . SHEESH. Who knows? At this juncture . . . who cares? Let the attorneys, the court, judge, etc. determine who is right or wrong.

Okay, I checked with my lawyers. I think we can get a pay-per-view deal locked in.

We can call it "Throw down 1/6 Style" It will be like Ultimate Fighting crossed with a 1/6 version of Celebrity Death Match.

You can use any 1/6 item as a weapon. I'd suggest Louie uses some of the metal weapons
from the Champloo line. Then Smash the other guy over the head with a 1/6 chair. Hmmmm, this just may work.

We can have 1/6 ring girls. Get little 1/6 sponsers with t-shirts, like 1/6 Redbull.
Yes...Yes....and a little 1/6 Throw Down Championship belt.

The vision is complete and my evil plan worked. I will make 1/6 millions!

Below is the thread at the Triad Toys forum regarding what happened at the New York Toy Fair.

https://www.triadtoys.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3267&osCsid=e8eb64ad9fe88ab3a2b4e85b2a94bbe3

The thread includes posts/replies by Louie himself.

Why is it that whenever another forum links to a thread here the first response is about how much we suck and other forums are so wonderful?:monkey2 I suppose the reverse is true when someone posts links on SSF to a thread on another forum.

Anyway... back on topic. How bizarre. We still don't really know what got Dunlop's panties in bunch other than the flyer posted by anonx. Is this really over Aeon Flux and Ultraviolet? I can't imagine someone getting so worked up over those properties...

Best thing out of this discussion so far is that the dude from Triad was in a meeting with Nintendo! I get excited when any toy or statue company is in a meeting with Nintendo! :banana I wish Sideshow would get a meeting with Nintendo... :monkey2

I actually do have to agree with that... even funnier that of all 7 posts are in this thread and in other threads talking about Executive Replica products :lol

I hope Louie doesn't mind my cross posting the relevant posts from the Triad forum.

Kenny, thanks for the link.

I will certainly address this. It is now apparent that Mr. Dunlop from Executive Replicas wants to make this matter public. While I feel that this is a private matter and have tried my best to resolve it so, it is a matter that needs to go into the open so there are no nasty false rumors and speculations spreading. At this point, I have referred the matter to counsel for handling, but I can discuss everything because we have documentation of everything that goes on. My hope is to have some light shine on the situation without speculation and false rumors spreading.

I have a feeling much of this started because we made quite an impression at Toy Fair, picked up some great licensing, have new distribution, etc. but that is just my own personal opinion. I will address this matter once I return home with our side of the story so it's not so one-sided. In the meantime, I hope someone posts this thread back at the various forums because it is apparent some folks are trying to spread this news through the various newsgroups and forums to try and damage our reputation.
Well I find it more interesting that there's a new member talking about the situation on the Sideshow forum as user "anonx" who is apparently "there" when things happened.

I was in a meeting with Nintendo when Drew called me and said there is an emergency situation at our booth and asked me to come back immediately. When I arrived back to the Triad booth, Drew said there was some guy handing out flyers, but didn't know who it was. I looked at the flyer, but didn't know what it was about. I looked around, but didn't know what was going on. Finally I saw security come over at EMCE's booth (which was one booth over from ours) and they were talking to someone. I looked and noticed it was Winston Dunlop. At that point, Mr. Dunlop came over to our booth and started yelling at me. I told him that this is not the place or time to do this and if he had any issues, I will give him our attorney's contact information and we can do it more civilly.

Mr. Dunlop was escorted out by security accordingly.

I found out a few minutes later that several of the other vendors were the ones that contacted security about Mr. Dunlop and that he was scaring the vendors and no one knew what was going on. Joe Scena from EMCE Toys came over our booth a few minutes later and spoke with me about the situation and gave me a little history about Mr. Dunlop as well. I then went back to my meeting and that was it.

When I returned to the hotel, I sent the following email to Mr. Dunlop and Norman Sockwell of Sci Fi Metropolis:
---------------------------------------
Dear Mr. Dunlop,

Please allow this email to serve as our notice to cease and desist with your defamatory actions against Triad Toys, Inc. Your actions today at the New York International Toy Fair constitute a cause of action for both libel and slander and we will be forwarding this matter to our attorney for further handling.

Please note that this is your final and only notice and we will seek legal action against Sci Fi Metropolis and you personally for your actions today. The damage you have caused today is irreparable and we will pursue this matter to its fullest extent possible under the Civil Code for defamation.

Louie Tran
Triad Toys, Inc.

I have not received any responses from either Mr. Dunlop or Mr. Sockwell as of this writing.

Louie

I have no problem with representatives of companies posting here, but I do wish that they would identify themselves as such.

I actually do have to agree with that... even funnier that of all 7 posts are in this thread and in other threads talking about Executive Replica products :lol

But he properly identified himself as Anon, and not just any Anon, but Anonx. That way no one can mistake him for any of the other anonymous posters who would have only a spectator's passing interest in sharing this information. :lol

lolz at the flyers......everyone knows lots of Triad past products aren't "official".

That said, I always like Triad products, they have some of the best tailoring when it comes to 1/6 clothing.

But they need better customer service & try to release their products on time,1 to 2 months delay is acceptable but sometimes a whole year???
