I put this up in the Marvel section and thought some people here would also enjoy this also.

That's pretty great. The guy playing Wolverine did a great job, and proves beyond any doubt that a live action version of this character could have a comic accurate mask and not look any more "silly" than, say, Nolan's Batman.

Marvel fans are just jealous they dont have great live actions films compared to Nolan's Batman series thats why they voted for a Wolverine win, and hey Wolverine was ready to kill, Batman wasnt
If Batman ever crossed the line, he would have a kill count far more than Darkseid or Galactus could achieve

Pretty cool vid.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

It's funny, in the video, Batman does make the decision to kill-it just doesn't work.

Batman would win.

If he had preptime that is, but yeah, just find a dude random in a sewer and take our his sigar is asking for trouble. :lol

EDIT: Just noticed the start of the video.. Why the hell would Wolverine randomly kill a guy? And spit on him to boot.

Kinda ruined the whole thing.

Batman wears a mask to hide his identity, Logan has no reason to wear a mask everybody knows he's Wolverine.
Also Batman would have researched this guy and would have pulled out a big magnet, game over Batman wins.

I enjoyed it, it's a fan made nerd porn by some people with a pretty fair amount of skill. I don't think they gave enough credit to Wolverine fighting skills though. I also know that the debate can go back and forth on these two but IMO it ended the right way.

Iunno, looks pretty silly to me. :dunno
Do you think Batman also looks silly, then? Because they both look equally believable/silly to me. In the context of a movie, either could work or fail depending on how it is approached and the POV of the viewer.

Batman wears a mask to hide his identity, Logan has no reason to wear a mask everybody knows he's Wolverine.
Batman wears a mask to hide his identity. . .in part. Another part is the theatrical angle, instilling fear, being mysterious, etc., which I'm sure could also apply to Wolvie. If they wanted to give Wolvie a reason to wear one, movie-makers could do so, in other words.

They really both wear masks because the creators thought it was "cool looking," and that was really as far as the thought process went. In any case, has no bearing on the silliness issue.

I agree with Steve that they made it look like Wolvie can't fight for ****, and would happily kill a guy who just picked a fight with him (which in general wouldn't happen, though certainly could depending on his mood). In a "real fight," the winner would be determined by. . .the guy writing the story :lol

if were talking realism here, batman would be ****ed fighting most heroes from dc or marvel in real life. No powers in real life would make a very big difference.

Yeah, Wolverine would totally win. He's got claws, a healing factor, and a metal skeleton. Batman's only physically perfect, has a wealth of gadgets, years of training, and an incredibly high intellect [/sarcasm]. The way I see it, all Batman would need is a giant magnet (which, I'm sure it would be incredibly difficult for a billionaire to get his hands on), and Wolverine's down without Batman even having to lay a finger on him. From there, Batman can move him to a very heavy (say a ton?) magnetized piece of metal, sandwich him between another magnetized piece of metal, and have him buried thousands of feet below ground. It would fit Batman's "no killing" moral code, and it could guarantee that Wolverine wouldn't be going anywhere for a very long time.

This man has the right idea.

You gotta love nerd debates; men passionately rallying for giant magnets
