Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

You thought that, too! Damn, we really are on the same page!:lol :hi5: The whole time I was playing TLOU, I was thinking "holy ****, Dylan McDermott would be great, if they ever made a movie."

Yeah, I actually thought it was his own cameo in the game :slap :lol

Him playing Batman doesn't seem too far fetched, although there are better lookers for Bruce.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

Since woman are clamoring to force Ryan Gosling as Batman down our throats, I will follow the same fashion in using his looks to discredit him as batman.

Its given that Batman is a traditional "good looking" guy. But batman is a haunted and tortured spirit. He is not a pretty boy who looks like he gets so much female pink that booty juice is about to secrete out of his pores.

And it is quite annoying when woman are using this comic book base to catapult their favorite crush to triple AAA blockbuster super stardom. The character does not pander to the actor, the actor panders to the character. I'm sure you females would be pissed if us men petitioned a porn star to lead in the next Jane Austen cinematic movie.

Im sorry, but when it comes to comics and comic book movies, squealing girls please **** the hell off.

I'm all for someone attractive playing Batman, but despite Ryan Gosling's mediocre attractiveness, he just does not have the right look for Batman. I agree, he doesn't look like he could pull off haunted and tortured at all. He also has no chin. I actually think the only confirmed screen test so far, the kid from Teen Wolf actually very much fits the bill, he's dark complected, he has naturally very dark hair, and has eyes that exude mysterious. I haven't seen him act as of yet, but even at the young age of 25, I don't think that he looks too young for the part. As far as looks go, he seems to be a perfect counterpoint to Henry Cavill. Besides, a young Batman would be a plus, if we have any hopes of having a prolonged Justice League and solo Batman series, it pays to have someone who won't be pushing 50 before it's over. It also helps to have a relative unknown who won't be too afraid of being typecast or make things difficult by being too much of a prima donna, being difficult to work with, making unreasonable demands, or generally being more trouble than they're worth. We need someone who can be committed to playing the part in the long haul.

I'm not saying he has to be a rookie Batman. I haven't seen the kid act, but he'll probably be 27 by the time Batman vs Superman is released, and with the proper direction, I'm sure he could come off as an experienced Batman. Plus, he doesn't really look much younger than Cavill. I was actually surprised to discover his age after seeing him for the first time.

Besides, a young Batman can be spun to his extreme advantage. If he's extremely badass at this age, think of how much more badass he will be when he gets older. Frankly, this lends itself well to my school of thought that Batman was never a rookie. By the time he becomes Batman, he's already traveled the world for 10+ years (not to mention whatever training he did before reaching adulthood), and trained under the best martial artists, experts of stealth, tacticians, and strategists the world has to offer. By the time he puts on that cowl, he is anything but a rookie. The idea of a rookie Batman goes against Batman's defining characteristic - he's already prepared for everything he does - he never does anything without preparing for it obsessively and excessively - not just the matter at hand, but any thousands of ways in which things could fly south in the process. And if you present Batman as a young genius - the Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, or Steve Jobs of the ***-kicking world, if you will, it drives the point home that much more who this guy really is. The last time Batman was a fresh-faced kid was when his parents were murdered before his very eyes. From that moment on, he's been a hardened monster, galvanized in his resolve to rid the world of all of its injustices. Every moment past that point has been spent preparing. Even if the character is only 28-35 years old, that's 20+ years spent investing countless millions and nigh infinite willpower and intelligence into becoming the single most dangerous person in existence. Superman spent that time running away from his destiny and repressing who he really is.

I wonder if Superman is going to ask Batman what the symbol on his chest stands for?

The poor guy couldn't breathe because that mask was hugging his face so tight.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

That cowl has no jawline. Batman without an epic jawline is no Batman at all.

Good point, that looks like chin man.

The more I look at that, the sillier it looks.

No wonder Joker laughed at him so much.

That cowl should be in Aliens as the face hugger.

Um excuse me but where are these "women clamoring to force Ryan Gosling as Batman down (our) throats"??? First I have heard of it..... sure don't see them in this thread unless I missed something.

As a woman I can unequivocably state that I have zero interest in having Gosling anywhere near any Batman or Superman film. Otherwise you can back the hell off with this misogynistic crap. You are not more of a fan or a better fan just because you happento br male. This is completely uncalled for and inappropriate.

Me and Gosling just double teamed you because we're misogynistic pigs.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

.....although I will state for the record that she would probably make a better Batman than Gosling. So theresthat.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

You mean Batgirl or Catwoman. A woman can't play Batman.

I actually hope Faora returns so Batman can teach her a lesson.
