Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

They really fixed the sides of the mask and made the eye holes smaller.

The Russo’s catch everything. They probably even debated giving him a chin strap.” Cmon Kevin we can go back and make the changes for future releases of the first Avengers.”
They even de aged the actors like they did with Sam Jackson and Michael Douglas that were reprising the original Avengers roles.

I think the mask looks much better. The ears exposed would be even better, but it had to look close enough to the 2012 version.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Wait, was the Cap vs Cap fight after they had beaten Loki or before that? Because 2012 Cap was wearing the mask, and he originally lost the mask in the beginning of the NY battle.

It was after they had beaten Loki and were escorting him down the elevator in chains. Hmm you know what would be trippy is if the 2012 Cap that EG Steve fought *was* Loki after grabbing the tesseract and trying to regain his staff, hence the pristine suit and cowl. :panic:

So he let himself get beaten and then sexually harassed by 2023 Cap? :lol

Which means 2012 Cap was Loki all along. :horror

But why would Loki react to Bucky being alive, hmm.

Actually now that I think of it it's such a random statement that maybe Loki *would* have paused, lol. Imagine if he said that during their Stuttgart fight.

*Cap is down, Loki places the scepter on his head*

Loki: "Kneel."

Cap: "Bucky...is alive!"

Loki: "??????"

lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Okay his reaction to "Bucky is alive" would make absolutely no sense if it was Loki. :lol

Not that I really thought it might be him anyway, lol.

Well, his reaction to Bucky would make sense if he's pretending to lose, just to get rid of Cap, but I just don't think it's Loki because he's a lot stronger than Cap, so he probably should be able to beat Cap easily, instead they were evenly match. Unless he was holding back on purpose, but then why not beat him and move on, instead of holding back, having a long fight, have the upper hand then throw the fight to get rid of Cap?

I have to say, I never noticed or questioned the fact that Cap had a clean suit with a mask after beating Loki in this film. WTF? The rest of the characters looked the same as they did in 2012, but Cap had the mask back? What happened? :lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I mean really we've seen Loki impersonate 2012 Cap not once but twice prior to the Cap vs. Cap fight. Plus 2012 Cap was actually kind of winning despite 2023 Cap being the super experienced Russo badass. He had to pull the Bucky line and cheat with the scepter to win.

You could kind of make a halfway decent case for it to be Loki, lol.

They recreated the scene where Loki asks for a drink. Was Cap wearing the mask in that entire sequence? Also, when Loki impersonated Cap in EG, was that version wearing the mask?

2012 Cap had no cowl in either instance (as himself or Loki.) In either case the cowl attaches to his suit like a hood so even though the Chitauri pulled it off he theoretically could have put it back on after the fight.

Hmm, I guess he could have more than one mask. Loki impersonating Cap in that fight would be a cool idea, because that fight happened right after Loki escaped, and the first thing 2012 Cap said when he saw 2023 Cap was, "I found Loki." Although, why say that at all, if he's not Cap and he knows he's looking at the real Cap and no one is actually listening? :lol

Well the impostor would want to immediately shift guilt to the one he's impersonating of course. Had 2012 Cap ever seen Loki impersonate anyone? Shouldn't he have been slightly confused at seeing his own duplicate? Or did Loki himself make the instant connection and immediately try to deflect his own ruse? ;)

He lost it completely though.
