No :lol,I always pump up something I really like and see that is worth the noise...Some Folks are just complaining to complain and not giving any credit to this project. The figure is fully posable just like any masterpiece.Obviously ARAFAT has won over MANY folks today at the SHOW in NJ because his piece is selling out everywhere...he has confirmed that it's a 1,000 piece limited ONE-TIME RUN ONLY...NO Second Runs..I don't want to hear any of you crying after it get's released and then having to hear anyone cry about how high the secondary market prices are for this thing and then hearing "I should of bought one" after many have it in hand.

I am glad I bought mine a long time ago because this is going to look killer in my MP collection once I slap on a reprolabel autobot symbol on it

The only reason anyone has for complaining is because you won't STFU and let people make their own minds up.

Why exactly should people gamble their cash without knowing what the production quality is like?

1.Because people at a toy show were stupid enough to go crazy over an unpainted, neutrally posed prototype that may or may not be a true indication of the final production quality?

In today's economic climate the only people that do that likely have more money than sense and will possibly be in the market for a bridge I'm selling.

2.Because it's "fully posable like any Masterpiece"?
Some knockoffs are that posable, doesn't mean they're Masterpieces. And if it's so posable why is it being showed off in such a static pose?

3.Because it's big?
Bigger is better if you're pursuing a career in porn but it's no guarantee of anything with Transformers.

Generations Metroplex is big. It's still an ugly piece of junk.

4.Because it's a limited edition?
Limited editions don't mean a thing to anyone but small minded types who get off on the snob factor of owning something "exclusive" or scalpers....normal people generally don't care.

5.Because the guy making it has good intentions?
If his intentions are so good, how come it's not been made easily available to all markets?

If it's as good as you're making it out to be you'd think Daca Toys would want to get it distributed far and wide but this clearly hasn't been the case.

So why should I or any other customer outside the selected markets care, when Fans Toys are making one that's much easier to obtain via local dealers?

As I've already pointed out the starting price for Kronos may be cheaper than FT's projected price of $200-$250 but
once international shipping and customs charges are added the difference in pricing of the two would be neglible enough for people to say "screw it" and stick with the established brand, particularly when it'll be easier to get hold of.

Others might not be able to afford or may simply not want to pay 3rd party prices in which case they'll hang on for an official one or they'll just make do with the Generations Leader Class that they'll be able to pick up at TRU.

It's one thing being enthusiastic about a figure but you don't appear to be taking anything resembling logic into consideration.

whatever tough guy....ALOT of the transformers community seem to naturally complain and nitpick everything. If you don't like it,don't buy it then and go worship Fans Toys as the ONLY transformer 3rd party maker that can do something right even though they have ONE good transformer so far under their belt that folks raved about (and now maybe 2 with Scoria)...

Folks have seen it in person and are saying good things about Kronos and it's still not good enough for you,So wait for Fans Toys then, pay $250 for it,it won't be that much different than Kronos...so go ahead miss out! and pay more!

Last time I blindly pre-ordered something I ended up being scammed for £170 on a HT Hawkeye figure and a replacement cost me £260.

It is not a mistake I intend to repeat.

Kronos was $165 at BBTS.

I estimate it would be at least another $50 for UK shipping and as I've already pointed out repeatedly, there's no guarantee that customs wouldn't get their hands on it.

The last time I had to pay a customs charge it was on one MP Smokescreen and was the equivalent of about $35.

Kronos would without question be more due to the size and weight of the package so the final total would be around the same as FT's....IF they even sell it for the higher end of their projected $200-$250.

Unless you have an intimate knowledge of how the fluctuating prices of raw materials effect the prices per unit at the factories in Asia you have no way of knowing that, you're just using the highest figure to support your flawed argument.

By comparison FT's will be easily available via UK dealers and won't have the added costs of international shipping and customs charges to bump up the final total.

Do the math.

I PAID $155 and 11 shipping for Kronos....so it sounds like where you live it sucks to buy any kind of toys at all...Since you get shafted in shipping fees and customs costs,a Fans Toys Skyfire will run you $300

Fans Toys has already said that their Skyfire would run $200-250 because it contains more parts while still standing at 14" tall (Same as Kronos)

ARAFAT said that Kronos (while posed static for the show) is fully poseable and alot of joints are hidden. If you look at the photos, you can CLEARLY see posable joints all over this thing...

Like I said..wait..and pay more for it later (because this figure will double after its sell-out..or just don't buy it

I was actually thinking the same.

It's nice to be excited & everything but it is only a figure we don't need it constantly rammed down our throats how great you think it will be.

I won't be buying it or Fans Toys version he just isn't worth it in any guise, one of the dullest characters in the universe IMO & I've actually stayed away from posting in the thread for a while because anything seems to get buried by a barrage of your "it's going to be so amazing" banter which is nice & all but does get tiring.

Sure it looks great & most people will kick themselves if it turns out like you say but we are all adults free to make our own choices & when money is involved we will go with what we trust & it generally isn't a first time company that as you keep reminding us is a fan.
I'm a huge fan of TF as you can tell but that doesn't mean I should be trusted to put out a good figure...I can't I suck at all things & I expect most people think this guy might be the same.

I'm still a bit curious of typical 3rd party edition sizes. Do other companies typically release this information? 1,000 could be a whole heck of a lot when you consider the potential customer base.

interesting that everyone seems to love FansToys Skyfire and they havn't even shown squat but a Silouette :dunno and they are delaying their version too..

Kronos looks Ok, it's not amazing and I really hate that the waist articulation cuts through the cockpit area. Kapow have it up if anyone in the UK is interested.

Skyfire isn't a must have for my masterpiece collection so I'm in no hurry to jump on this.

Seeing something in person at a toy fair is not the same as having it in hand. No one got to pick it up, pose it or transform it. I also noticed it’s using a Sideshow 12 inch figure stand just to stand up. Is that because it’s just a prototype and they wanted to be extra safe? Or because it has balance issues? Probably the former, but the point is nobody knows yet.

It might look great, but that doesn’t mean the actual figure will turn out perfectly. The Prototype for MP Rodimus was really well received when it was first shown, but we all know that there were numerous issues with that figure. Any product can run into a million different problems from initial design to getting it out to the public. If it happens to a huge company like Taktom it can certainly happen to small third party company, however good their intentions, and for reasons completely beyond their control.

Fanstoys have put out an MP product that’s not just good, but is widely regarded as surpassing the build quality of the official TakTom figs. Does this guarantee their upcoming figures will be as good or better? No, but It does it buy a little extra faith from previous customers. An edition size that will allow people to see in hand reviews and make up their mind before having to put down the cash also helps.

I agree it's quite possible that waiting on FansToys Skyfire means "missing the boat" on a better figure, with a lower price point and limited run. But you have to realise it’s equally possible Kronos ends up a $160 figure that is horribly fragile, unbalanced and riddled with countless QC issues.

I can understand you being excited about the figure (as it does look very impressive) and I really hope it delivers on it's potential, but you seem to be declaring it a “home run” a little prematurely IMO :peace

Just noticing that about the waist. Would have been better to make no waist articulation at all, because he's gonna look ridiculous if his waist is rotated. And now he's got an unnecessary seem apparently running down the cockpit.

Fans Toys earned my custom with the quality of Quakewave and their dedication to ensuring quality control is enough to lead me to believe they won't drop the ball.

How many small companies would take a financial hit by junking an entire production run of something because it didn't entirely meet their standards?

Because that's what FT did with their planned clear variant of Quakewave.

It's a shame that Cubex don't have similar standards because if they did Huff would be standing above Quakewave at the top of the 3rd party Masterpiece pile.

Misterscruff,
Thanks for passing that on, I wasn't aware Kapow had it up yet.

£150 would be a decent price....if the final quality is there.

But nobody knows that for sure yet.

Ah yes.. Just received notice that Bluestreak has arrived. Looks like I will be skipping the gym and headed straight home today! I considered skipping this latest batch of carformers but Bluestreak looked too good and it will be nice to have one character with this form factor. I feel like my Autobot collection is growing like weeds meanwhile my tiny little Decepticon collection looks on with jealous rage. Hopefully after the BumbleJack duo Takara will give is some more Decepticons or Insecticons. I really should have bought the Fansproject Not Insecticons when I had the chance.
