Copped the ZX 8000 Vader and Super Skate Stormtrooper with the Micropacer on the way. I think these are all brilliant. Adidas has somehow made wearable kicks that manage to steer away from cosplay and ordinary dull licensed sheite toward something that truly appeals to the toy collectors and sneaker freaks alike. The much-reviled micropacer is especially brilliant in capturing the kind of nostalgia kick I get from buying a cool toy I loved as a kid, it makes me recall the early 80s when the Star Wars series were the defining moments of my life.

The Vader jacket is pretty awesome. It's a retro cut though, so it has a pretty short waist and you need to be pretty thin to rock it well. I'm still working on that. One thing I'm not sure I like is that the cape is permanently attached to the lightsaber pouch and the empty pouch hangs on the side of the cape when not in use. With the hood, control panel and cape removed it actually looks like a pretty normal track top, so it's pretty safe to rock out in public.
