Ah the Reventon...one of the rarest newer cars around and the closest thing to a fighter jet for the street...amazing car.

Congrats on your 1/8th scale...thats probably the only way most of us will ever see one in person. Ive heard the model is perfect !

I have a buddy that collects Lambos and he was invited to buy a Rev but he declined.

Instead he bought a white Lambo LP670-4 SV which is just drop dead gorgeous.

Indeed...this thing attracts more attention than the space shuttle. I've had the very rare opportunity of driving this car believe it or not. Well it wasnt an actual "drive"....more like moving it from one side of the parking lot to the other. But amazing none the less......and yes the new LP670 is just as pretty. This 1/8 Reventon is simply jaw dropping in person though. Sorry for the delay in pics guys....George called me from CM the other day to tell me my predator is on the way also. Now I have to rearange the entire room again for that thing....

Congrats!!
So awsome , now I want one!!

Please do post your collection!

So i am guessing the detail on these are far greater then AutoArt or Kyosho?.

I recently bought the Minichamps re-released 1/12 Maclaren F1 it s a beautiful model. The only other 1/12 I have is the Vanquish from "Die another day",but I have several 1/18s and my next purchase will be the 1/12 Sunstar '57 Volkswagen Kombi.Great thread, love my die-cast almost as much as I love 1/6!

These are some of my own favorite AutoArt cars i have purchased in the past, Lotus Exige in a grey/silver and a 2006 Lexus IS 350 in pearlesant finish.

Quite good detailing on these cars.

Their both good in their own way. AutoArt any Kyosho are very detailed models for the money you pay....their 1/12 scale line are very impressive. If you've ever heard of a company called "CMC" they take detail to a whole other level. I also have one of their rarest 1/12 models they've made...a 1/12 Mercedes Benz SLR. This car features every detail from the real car....right down to real leather interior and silver paint used on the real car. If extream detail turns you on like myself....the engine bay on this thing is like porn. Take a look at the picture below if you wanna see what Im talking about. It also features one of the most complex engine hood and trunk hinges you will ever see in your life put on a model car.
Amalgam models are no less impressive....however they dont feature the same detailes as the others in a functionality aspect (doors, trunk dont open). They are known more for their attention to detail in dimensions, interior, seam fitting, paint app and of course their SIZE. Amalgam also uses REAL carbon fiber in the construction of these cars which are all made by hand and take many hours to complete. The Reventon was their first car to feature an opening engine lid...showing off the engines insane detail. Their price also correlates to their limted numbers. Unlike AutoArt, Kyosho, CMC, GMP, Tamiya, Minichamps...which all make their models off an assembly line with units reaching the hundreds to thousands+. Amalgam build these cars to order with a "said" production run of around 199 or so usually. But much less actually get built if less orders get put in...making them rarer than 1/12's in the production POV.

1/12 CMC SLR facts...tell me this doesnt turn you on:

I have seen pics of this CMC Mercedes SLR before, gorgeous car for sure. I usually only pick up AutoArt or Kyosho when i can find a good deal on some. The BMW 760Li by Kyosho is also another impressive car i have.At some point i will pick up a 68 Mustang by GMP.
