1/6 Indy Customizations: Image Thread

Like that 1/6th scale web belt went for $94. a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been thinking about that, if you put 9 belts over Kato’s forth coming jacket, like trying to cover it bottom to top, you couldn’t, you’d need more, plus the sleeves and the front.

My point is, we are not even talking about quality of design yet, or the incredible stitching, genuine respect for the original source material, care for result of final product, his work is worth more than 9 (rounding up) $94. dollar web belts, a lot more.

Any of the artists here have the right to express themselves in their work and to be paid what the market bares.

I don’t think people get that he like meticulously hand cuts his stuff:

Cant wait to see the final result.

And looking forward to seeing all of the work of all of the artists on here.

Kato will be offering his jacket at some point correct? His first jacket was really nice however I always thought it had really broad shoulders. I have the Yunsil set but would like another option.

Yeah that is what he had mentioned. Im happy with Yunsil’s jacket but would have liked another option to compare the two.

Yes. Partially my fault. I weathered the jacket and I think I went a little overboard. Haha it started shortly after. That was years ago.
I’m waiting on my Iris set to upgrade

That looks brilliant Rogster!

You have done a great job with the hat. I love how low it sits on his head, which is sometimes hard to do with some of the sculpts and hats. You just need to sort out the hair on either side and you will have one awesome custom.

As for the Hot Toys jacket, I have three and all are slowly falling apart despite me not having done much with them at all. It's really not good enough in my opinion. They should have been built to last. I like the Hasbro jacket myself. It actually looks like a jacket on him and not a bomber jacket in terms of length. I add a silver zipper on the right side, glue the collars down and add buckles at the back to help close the vents a bit. Here is the jacket on two of my spare Indy customs.

Really "Jonesin" for Iris new clothing run! Just need to update Cairo Indys shirt and pants (oh and get an Mfisher satchel strap) and I can hang this one up.

Such a fantastic Indy you’ve got there. I’m waiting on the Iris set too but the HT shirt can be improved with some smaller buttons and probably a quick gray dye (which I haven’t done yet).

[emoji1783] Yeah the only modding I've done with mine is remove a button so I could display the shirt open more without showing the button clasp...Once I get the Iris set I'll likely be moving this shirt and pants onto another Indy bash with a coat, so I dont know if itll really benefit to do any further work on it at this time [emoji848]

Be very careful with dying the HT shirt. It's got some weird colors in there for the weathering.

I dyed mine years ago and it came out pink. Made the shirt useless. And I'm really good with dying.
