Well it looks like Sigourney in 1979 to me BUT of course that may not be a production piece, they always give more attention detail for these photographic releases.

Ok instant reaction on seeing the sculpt was
Very happy with how this turned out. I don't really care much for the cat, he's staying in his little carrycot thing anyway.
Ordered from Timcent. So should get this sometime next week.

Then again, considerin' that Asian market doesn't care for the character and the movie... we should be glad that this figure was produced at all. The head sculpt could be better but it also could be worse. All in all, awful lookin' cheap ass cat is the only disappointment of this release.

The best of the new pics from Facebook (in my estimation). Hot Toys haven't hit a home run, but it's an improvement no doubt - something better about the expression, and the eyes.

Jones is still a travesty.

I'll be happy to finally get her, so don't get twisted.......BUT, I feel just meh about her. The face is still a bit off, and let's be honest, Jonesy looks AWFUL.

And it's 2017...can we have a figure that doesn't have utter **** wrist joints? I'm happy the watch covers one, but I'll have to try and hide the other.


Those complaints aside, I'm ready to finally get a shipping notice.

Trust me. The Asian market cares about the movie. Most of my Twitter feed is Japanese model kit builders obsessing over the 79 Alien in ways that would make Sabres look like a casual fan. Probably right about the specific character of Ripley, though.

I just want to say that I'm happy for everyone that's been waiting for this release! These long delays are the worst. I can't start collecting Alien stuff or I'd have a detolf full of Aliens and Predators!
