Why not buy one of the hasbro band members and cast the head and hands? I'm sure others would be interested in the castings.

The instruments would be a bit of work to scratch build but not impossible.

Yeah I thought about that but by the time I have bought one, made the mould, bought some clothes, bodies, cast the hands and all that jazz it would be quite expensive.... its no worries I am sure I will get distracted by something else soon haha....

I have nearly finished the second booth, just waiting for more styrene tubes to make the back rails....

Right the next thing is to dull down the the arch lines....

I am using the same paint as I used to seal the plaster.

Its still watered down loads and then I am just making it up as I go along. Dab it on and its important that you have the brush at 36˚, stand on one leg and hum a Britney Spears song a in just you vest and slippers of the weathering will look RUBBISH.. That reminds me I must pull the curtains when I do that bit....

Then dab it a bit with some tissue

Cheers for the kind words my friends they are really appreciated.

I know I've been MIA for sometime now. But I have been keeping up with the treads and I really miss doing stuff. As for the window I would like to get if done but it seems like things keep happening. I almost got rid of all my Star Was collection and my wife talk me out of it. Thank God LOL. I think this weekend I might mess with it for a while would be good for me.

Dang me Lopie, you sell your chuffin collection and will don my speedos, nose clip, goggles and swimming hat, cover my self in goose fat... swim the North Atlantic ocean, hunt you down and give a slap with a large fish and a telling off!

Right I have drawn it on and now I am going to gently hack it to bits!!!! I and scratching it with the scalpel to get some texture.

Great stuff dorgs!

Oh by the way, I happen to have a Hasbro cantina band musician... it's the one with the oboe/clarinet looking thing.... No promises yet, but I may be willing to part with it... I haven't decided. But you could probably recast the hands and HS if you wanted, if I decided to pop him in the post.

Problem is, I'd like to have a cantina too at some point... So I've not made up my mind yet...

But hey, isn't SS gonna release one of the musicians eventually?

Ahh no worries mate you hang on to him. I am watching a couple on ebay at the mo so we will see how it goes. Stu is paying for the scout armour tomorrow and the auction is up in 2 days so we will see


And yep I think I remember seeing that SS where doing the band!! such an odd choice when there are so many other cool aliens. I guess its because they can get 5 figures from the same basic one.

The problem with SS is it'll take em a year to make them, and another year before we actually get em, which drives me nutty.

got it from a buddy of mine, thought it was a walmart display.....

it's in the attic at the moment. i should get rid of it because i literally have nowhere to put it except there. it is kinda cool though.

Dorgs, when you get some band members if you need any tips on paint, here's a photo I took of one of the actual masks used in the film at makeup artist Rick Baker's house in 1977 or '78:
