hopefully not the movie version from the 70's >< lol, toss me a pm if you're interested in a metal one, i can shoot you the info where i got mine done. post your fiberglass one when you get it finished, i'd like to see it.
also if anyone wants to follow my shield progress, and you're a member...
i doubt mine will look like chris' but im going to try and do it as close to the movie version as i can. if i can find someone to cut out the full bracket like chris did it'd be much easier hehe.
he tries to lift it, but its still to heavy for him, he's a cute lil bugger thats for sure.
Thanks yeah its very shiney, and very smooth, the guy did an amazing job. he posted it on his website which was pretty kewl since he's a custom motorcycle painter.
here we go couple more pics, one with the camera flash, one with normal lamp lighting, son trying to take my shield... lol and mommy decided to change his shirt so he could model the shield lol. enjoy and thanks everyone!
yeah dont get me wrong that fiberglass one looks pretty, the bullet ricochets look a lil weird on it, but it does look nice. but then again i guess it just depends on what the person wants, metal vs fiberglass, heavy vs light, and so on.
Ok try this again, here's the pics of the shield i had made. the small disc is what i had the guy make so i could cut the star out of it, that way it was already shaped to the shield, which keeps me from having to bend anything.
still cant believe marvel sold out to disney, my wife was excited however, that way she can use the excuse "see honey, now we can both go to disney and see lots of stuff we both like!" siiiiiiiiiigh
Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread
i so cant wait for the movie, wonder if hawkeye will wear some sort of costume, or if they're going to keep him in that military garb. also is it just me or does anyone else think the avengers cap outfit looks more like pj's ?
yeah i'd have to agree, if you're looking to go cheaply, the KHmountain one is probably the best way to go cheap. but you know that saying, you get what you pay for. it rings true. i'll post pics of mine shortly.
