QMX Star Trek General discussion thread

So here's a question.... I already have the first versions of Kirk and Spock (and plan to keep them). But, if I was to get only ONE of the 2.0 versions, which one of the two would everyone recommend?

QMX Star Trek General discussion thread

I keep checking in with this thread hoping for news about Uhura. I can live without Chekhov but my display won't ever seem complete without her. In fact, if she didn't come I'd probably just keep Kirk, Spock and McCoy, and part with Scotty and Sulu. So I'd love to hear something definitive...

1/6 Quantum Mechanix (QMX)- Lynda Carter Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

Face seems far too severe to accurately reflect Lynda, but I really like the costume work. Looking forward to seeing this one develop, they've definitely got my money when they get it together.

1/6 Sideshow Superman Sixth Scale Figure 2019

As a huge Supes fan, I was disappointed in the constipated look and thin body the previous version had, so never picked it up. This one I'm willing to give a chance, pending more pix. Good start so far.

QMX Star Trek General discussion thread

So, having gotten a bit behind on this thread, I was startled to learn that Scotty is suddenly pretty much sold out everywhere. I put myself on a couple of waitlists, but I see Amazon still has him up for pre-order, for arrival at the end of April. Of course, I jumped on that. Anyone have any...

Add Batgirl in there and I'm good.

Of the remaining four bridge crew, Scotty to me is much less interesting than getting Uhura and Sulu on the shelf, in that order. But he looks good, and if it furthers the possibility of getting Uhura, the most challenging of them, then I'll happily pick him up.

Uhura looks great! Of the three, she's my number one want, but if she's on the way I'll happily get the other two as well. I like how the body types are different-- Sulu is more trim while Scotty has more of a barrel torso.

I just found him on instagram as well, where he posted a pic on March 6 of a bunch of work lined up on a shelf, captioned "More projects getting done": https://www.instagram.com/p/Bf_m9HehS_B/?taken-by=tmmello

    Scam warning. Batman Vault.

FYI, he did the same with me for a bunch of 1:9 Batman stuff. Took some time but with some prodding, he finished and sent a couple of items, then kept promising the rest. After the period to file a grievance with Paypal passed, he stopped responding. Stiffed me for about $150. Truth is, I would...

    1/6 Hot Toys-MMS 218/219-Batman(1966)-Batman and Robin 1/6th Scale Figures

That's extremely disappointing, though I'm failing to understand what exactly he's saying IS coming. Aunt Harriet's curio cabinet? Huh?

    1/6 Hot Toys Romero Joker

Wow!! He looks incredible, so much character in the sculpt! I was just randomly thinking about the West and Ward figures yesterday that it was too bad there wasn't either a Batgirl or a Joker to complement them. And suddenly here's one of the two, looking better than I could have envisioned...

    1/6 MMS152 - Superman: Superman Collectible Figure

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure Beautiful stuff! And no doubt more Superman goodness will be coming. If this is where they start, I can't wait to see where Hot Toys goes from here.

Hot Toys new Superman teaser... he's coming guys!

As a long-time lurker here, I'm going to brave the hailstorm and add my vote for this one in the 'win' column. While the likeness might not be 100% accurate to Reeve, what isn't is totally, quintessentially Superman to me. It's like 95% Chris Reeve and 5% Curt Swan-drawn Supes. No doubt the...
