Yeah, mine’s finally shipping from KG and I just don’t care.

Unfortunately the figure really sucks, I was excited to get my first spider-man, the figure was a great first experience but with all the flaws it literally looks like a skinny cosplayer in my collection, kills all the vibe especially when you put him next to other figures etc.

What a shame. Having the 2nd batch mask doesn't help much.

I’m trying to give it a chance. If I didn’t have Doc Ock, I would’ve cancelled for sure but I’m trying to reenact Spider-Man 2 in the display so this is all I got. Arriving Monday so I’ll give my official input then.

Hmmm…Not sure if I should feel complimented or insulted.

Got a waitlist conversion. Only reason I'm tempted to pick this up is to send it off to get customized but spending that much on this figure is beyond annoying to even think about.

I got the same email, and reluctantly ordered. The price for the regular bare bones version is insane, especially for the quality of this fig. I may have a go at customizing him.

Got the conversion as well. Not sure what I want to do. I have quit a few different Spider-Man figures, so do I really need this? On the other hand kind of want it for my spider verse, but then I need to pick up the Garfield version too.

Tobey-Man is one of my most beloved heroes from a series of movies I adore so definitely take it as a compliment (as much as it is a condemnation of HT) when I imply I’d rather have spent my money on your stands than their figure.

No conversion here. Truthfully though I’ve lost some interest in it. I’m getting the black suit version instead.

Batches are not a thing though. It’s just luck of the draw.

For all you people whose wait list is converting now there’s no way to know what you’re gonna get.
My shop 3 weeks ago got them all from sideshow same shipment… obviously later than the originals. 3 of the 5 looked as bad or worse than those “batch 1s” 2 were ok. None looked perfect.

Now they are not even replacing items just refunding. If you don’t have a shop you can get this from in hand be prepared to expect getting a crappy one.

But if batches aren't a thing for Hot Toys, then why is it taking 4+ months to roll out this figure, The Batman, Padem, Vader, MoM Scarlett Witch, and C-3PO? We seem to always blame Sideshow for this, but it's not like they are purposely sitting on inventory waiting to ship it out. They don't have it all from Hot Toys.

Yes they are at fault for who they ship out to first. Gary could have ordered 5 minutes after it dropped day 1 and still be waiting, while Larry ordered 6 months later and already has it in hand, and Jerry got a wait list conversion and his is preparing to ship. Sideshow needs to fix that aspect.

Now for the differences in quality, I could see where they are produced in multiple factories. Some of the factories could be producing with better results. That could explain why in your group of 5, that they were different because a few came from a different factory production.

The figure isn’t the worst, honestly thought I would be more upset. I’m sure I got the 2nd batch as the head seam isn’t as bulging as others I seen online. Overall, it’s decent but way too overprice for how basic it is. It does however bring a nice presence in the collection with Toby in the mix.

I actually sold my "batch 2" Spider-Man a few days ago. Although a good figure I'm not really all that sad about selling it. It could have been a better release but sadly HT screwed up. I'll probably just settle for final suit Tom Spidey as my main.

Think it’s a L for me. It’s a batch 2 I believe but sadly comes at cost. I’ll contact Sideshow because technically it’s damaged in my opinion. What do you guys think of the seam. To me it looks like it’s coming undone. Will Sideshow replace this?

Ended up not buying the waitlist conversion. Maybe once vincentoy gets his lens and head shape fix out, I'll consider it but I just can't drop $300+ on the stock figure right now with how it's looking.

Passed on it as well. I ended up buying Deluxe Carnage from Popcultcha instead. The more I look at the neck line the more I hate it. This also seems to be the cause for the horrible fitting/stitching of the masks maybe.

I just think a simple silicone neck sleeve goes a long way to create the unmasked look. HT should just include one with each Spidey. If not we can always purchase them from stores like Kit who offer them.

That chin seam def shouldn’t be there. Hit up SS and they should be able to send a replacement head.
