That'd be very disappointing if all we get is MJ in some random outfit he wore once.

I'd love an updated version of this one. It's arguably his most famous outfit and performance. The glove, the socks, the moonwalk, the toe stand...it's what comes to mind when I think of MJ.

The most overpriced figure of all time, the H.S is not very good and Scalpers took advantage of MJ's death to resell it at the price of gold. i would like a new version with the staging of the suitcase.

No official photography/reveal for this makes me nervous it's another prototype that'll never see release.

I don't know enough about how InArt deal with these things (licenses etc), is it not odd that they're not allowed to show it officially? Wouldn't a 'pending licensor approval' placard suffice (like Hot Toys do) or are there additional steps before you can even do this. If so, why even take it to an event aimed primarily at Anime?

InArt has yet to have a prototype that didn't end up going up for preorder. They haven't pulled a Hot Toy tease in that aspect yet...

Shame the MJ estate are so useless. Imagine the derp that approved the Smooth Criminal statue the other year (that looks nothing like him) while dragging their heels over this one. I have less faith in those guys than anyone else when it comes to quality and approvals.

I wonder how Captain EO rights would work. I assume they would need both MJ estate and Disney approval, maybe Hot Toys can jump on that.

Regardless, I assume since we have not heard about second figure, they didn't show one.

I remember that picture for the prototype of the thriller figure, it was very good, better than the final product with the smile , but from what i heard it has not been approved by the family/estate.

Some of the extra hands, not sure if posted already.

Those are incredibly detailed. Makes me excited to see higher resolution photos of the sculpt itself.

Initially I wasn't too interested in this, being another tour based MJ (and one he wore for one song on very few performances) but I've definitely warmed to it and won't be missing out when it comes.

Not sure if that was approved? Sometime they call them Star Dancer or something like that.

man, i remember seeing the MJ Thriller prototype for the first time in 2009 and being excited to buy when i realized it was just a pre-order and cost over $170 >.< that would have been my first HT fig. I was not ready to shell out that much money back then. Fast forward early 2015 having a bit of money to spend and stumbling across a dealer page listing this for $250. Bought it as a i found out earlier HT figs are limited and this particular one was out of production for years o_O then having it in hand liking it but remembered the head sculpt looking better in the promo pics :-D ... Anyway this was the best MJ figure at that time and having the Zombie parts to do a second one was awesome. I really hope there will be an upgrade sometime soon, cause i liked the Thriller period the most.

Searched for the original Hot Toys MJ Thriller thread but they all seem locked. Just picked up the set and looking for a second body. Does anyone what a good replacement would be since I think it would be unlikely to find an original.

Dangerous Tour, so vitiligo was slightly more evident than "BAD".

I was also hoping for updates on this, I did email them about it but got no reply. We'll see I guess. I personally hope it still gets to release.
