I watched the first one again last night and really fell in love with it. Had only seen it once before and really enjoyed it but 2nd viewing really impressed me.

Watched part 2 tonight and just got back.

It was fantastic!!!! I can’t believe I gotta wait another 3 or 4 years for part 3.. I’ll be 57 or 58 years old :(

Truly the LOTR of Sci Fi films. So Epic and huge!!

My only issue was the strong female characters. Why must woman be so good at everything in these films…. Oh wait this was well written / directed / acted film were the strong female characters were awesome and not a Disney Marvel movie :lol

Great movie. Very happy!!

I liked the first film, but I think the second part enhances the first one for me now. I don't think watching the first film and having to wait 3 years for the second part is the ideal way to get the full effect. I hope Part 3 isn't split into two films, and if so, then maybe release them both in the same year.

My biggest issue with the first film was that it was not a huge success and I was scared that there would not be a sequel. So I really watched it as a possible 1 and done and being left with a series case of blue balls :lol

Watching a 2nd time and knowing there will be a part two helped my enjoyment immensely

Messiah is like 1/3 the length if Dune, one film should do it.

Really good movie, enjoyed it. Not quite what the reviews are saying but that might happen in a 2nd watch.
Didn't rate Austin Butler's character, surprisingly underwhelming and not as intimidating as it felt they were going for.
Not Zimmer's best score but bloody hell did it work!

This now joins the pantheons of great sequels.

Although one could look at it 2 ways:

1. Dune 2 is even better than part 1. The old ANH vs ESB debate. Because ESB was obviously elevated by ANH does it really make it better than ANH since ANH is perfect without the help of any other movie.

2. Dune 2 is simply not a sequel at all because Dune 1 and 2 are from a single book. It’s one single movie split in half. WB could technically connect both and just call it Dune! :horror

Dune 84 literally looks like a high school play compared to new Dune lol

All of the white jihadist in 84 :rotfl

The end fight lol

Dune 84 is a good comedy now.

Imax 70 yesterday!

Today going for Dolby Cinema for the insane soundtrack and sound effects this movie has.

There are so many beautiful shots in this film. That opening sequence, with the red filter and those soldiers in black using those floating jet packs looked so awesome.

It had a very 1950's60's science fiction style while still being modern.

I think I like part 1 better :)

But ultimately it is just one movie.

I will forever now associate Dune as belonging to Denis over Herbert.

Yeah yeah sure Herbert created the world…on 2 dimensional paper!

Think about this…had Herbert directed his own books it would’ve been even more atrocious than even Lynch’s version, yikes!

Ok fine I will consider Denis and Herbert as equal owners but only if you consider me making Denis 80% owner and Herbert 20% as being equal lol

Dune book is just that, words.

A great story can still be a crappy movie just ask Lynch.
