Hot Toys Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) - Spider-Man: No Way Home

Am i crazy or does the 2 figures posted above by the 2 different users who both got theirs from Sideshow both have different head sculpts. The first one looks like the fixed head sculpt whereas the 2nd looks like the old flawed headsculpt. So does this mean Sideshow is sending out figures with either old or new headsculpts randomly and that you'll only find out which one you got when u open the box?

I'm getting mine in today. We'll see if I get the fixed version or old one. It will determine if I sell it today or not.

It even looks beyond just the webbing being aligned though.

Even the shape of the head looks better. Less egg like.

Doubt it. Both lens aren't even spaced evenly from the center of the webbing. You can see one lens is further away from the middle than the other. Some nice QC from Hot Toys there.

It’s possible that HT shipped both the first version and second in a mixed shipment to cut down on the complaints but also use the product they have on hand. Anyone who gets a bad version that complains can get a replacement from sideshow but you won’t know if the replacement will be a 1st or 2nd batch. So I guess we all play go fish.

Got him today at 10:30 but had to leave the house for some errands. Just got back and opened him up he looks good in hand. I got second batch and mine is fine. I did notice I got one with that chin seem sticking out a bit. I trimmed it to remove it which now looks fine and have no issues.

Is it really that hard for a multi million dollar company to just stick the bloody eyes on straight on one of their ridiculously overpriced figures? Mine ended up OK, but the whole situation with this figure is just an absolute farce.

If this Inart Aragorn shows up even 50% as good as the prototype, I think Hot Toys are a thing of the past for me.

I'm getting mine from OneSixthKit, would you guys know which batch he has?

I believe Vincentoys might do one depending on interest from his pool, it might also be an option it will be new young Tobey sculpt from SM2.

I think this is my favorite spidey I've gotten thus far. Only wish his arms had a bit more muscle. But I'm noticing they are starting to use the adam style body used and made by Asmus toys for some of their figures but most likely with better articulation then the first versions done.

Mine arrives today. Fingers crossed for a batch 2.

Someone posted on the HT subreddit that their Sideshow order arrived with the 1st batch mask. Best of luck to those getting it from them. Seems to be a 50/50 gamble on which one you’ll get.

Looks like I got a batch 2 from SS but it still looks bad. Like the lenses are pulling the webbing out of line.

So nuts that HT botched a figure that people wanted dearly

On a different Spidey but this is 100% worked! Mine is perfectly rounded now. Thanks @Spanbauer
