That was fast, waitlist converted.

Does that mean someone lost $300 in NFD or was the deposit not required during open preorders?

Joost did a post on the FB group a few hours ago. Big time FOMO has resulted in people cancelling. Happened with the Batwing, but apparently this is worse.
Some people would be losing deposits, I guess it depends on how sympathetic Joost is feeling.

Times are hard , a toy car that cost what a used car a few years used to cost go figure...

Not saying it isn't a great product just saying when times are tough action figures are not something that justifies thousands of dollars .

With the US economy being such a wreck, no matter how the government lies it is, I had to skip this and Batwing. I "settled" for the Hot Toys.

Hard to spend over 1k on anything. I am also skipping InArt Joker. They can keep the figures and I will keep my 2k.

I worry about committing then not being able to afford.

Much Like Hasbro and McFarlane, I think there is a big bubble waiting to burst in the collecting game soon.

Sad but true !

As of January 22, the NRD went up to $300, so those people who didn’t have that much paid in had to either have at least the NRD paid, or cancel. It also was the last opportunity for those that wanted out to actually get out without losing a large NRD. It sounds like there were a good number of people that weren’t prepared to continue, so their production slots became available.

Clearly, our economy isn’t something that many people are comfortable with, so it makes sense that there would be some cancellations due to responsible adults making adult decisions for their future and that of their families. I also think there was a good number of people that ordered based on emotion and recognized they might be in trouble when the NRD became significant.

In any case, it worked out for those on the waitlist, and those who wanted out with just a minimal loss (I think it was $100) were able to do so. No wrong decisions here, just a bit of a reshuffling. Hopefully, the net number of vehicles ordered will not decrease significantly and Joost will be able to sell what he expected.

Looking forward to getting mine (y)

I have this on order. However I was a little behind on my payments. I’d paid $700 so far and then I get this email saying

“You can always adjust the amount you wish to pay by typing a customized amount into the “Amount” field. If you need to skip this month due to financial reasons, we understand. But please note that if you miss more than 3 consecutive monthly payments, your order may be subject to cancellation. So, please always let us know if there is any way we can support you with your payment plan.”

Now if I had paid only $100 NRD and knew I was gonna have to quickly add another $200, THEN have to play catch up to not be 3 months behind . That would scare me into canceling. And I get they may work with you on your payment plan but who needs that stress/pressure in their lives

I love JazzInc and Joost.

Got my Bats 66 and now holding back on everything. I see the economy and my job is in jepordy. I hate to rant, but my city is a sanctuary, I am against it all, and they said my job maybe gone due to budgets and the "new comers."

Just be careful everyone in their spending and their hobbies. At any point it can all end due to world issues. Just a heads up about it all for those who are still in the dark.

How much is JazzInc’s shipping typically within the US? Anyone have any estimates for this thing?

Rereading it because I misunderstood it. ”consecutive”. I guess u can still skip payments here and there. Just not 3 straight months. My bad

If you miss a payment or two you get an email from Chiara checking in. Happened to me once ( I just forgot…honest).
They’re pretty reasonable human beings. I can only imagine someone would have to be ignoring their queries for Jazzinc to cancel the order and confiscate the deposit.

Sorry to hear about your job. That actually happened to me during covid. It’s nothing I’d ever wish on anyone, but it certainly makes you realize what’s important and what you can do without. Toys aren’t even on the list.

I’m hoping for the best for you, so just keep on doing what you can do.

@JazzInc , do you have any plans to have a Jazzinc remote control instead of generic white remote (for the lights and engine features) ? It doesn’t need to be exclusive for 1989 (although I wouldn’t mind having an exclusive one too, haha), maybe a more stylish controller that we can display together with our vehicles. Prob the same controller can be used for future products that needs remote controllers as well.
Sorry. No plans for that. The cost for tooling production and custom electronics in the remote would’ve made a lot of other upgrades impossible

How is the JazzInc Batmobile production compared to how a Hot Toys vehicle sells in terms of total units?

Joost mentioned today they are making 2,400 units. And I think he mentioned the 1989 Batmobile is one of their best sellers in the history of JazzInc.
