Meh.
For better or worse, the Age of Superheroes seems to be over for me.
I follow the news and stuff, but unless the trailer is amazing, I doubt I'll be catching this, or any other superhero themed movie, at the theaters.

Altough not the biggest Superman fan, I like James Gunn and so far all the casting choices seems excellent.

Interesting article in the New York Times today about Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse entering public domain as of Jan 1, 2024. The article also mentions that "over the next decade, freedom awaits all of these characters: Popeye; Pluto; Donald Duck; King Kong (the original film version); Superman; Daffy Duck; Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf and others from the Hobbit; James Bond; Batman; Captain Marvel".

So DC has until 2033, less than ten years, to make a new DCU before everyone and his mother can make a Superman or Batman film. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/01/...tml?mwgrp=c-dbar&hpgrp=ar-abar&smid=url-share

Only the initial character from Action Comics #1, not the full Superman IP itself. So no flying, no modern S and all the other stuff that was added later.

Let’s be real. The only thing there gonna do is make stupid horror stuff like they did with Winnie the Pooh and now doing with steamboat Willie

She is a bit odd looking. I always thought she looked a little strange in HOD. She is an Aussie though and I'm always glad to see our talent succeeding in the industry.

Well this Supergirl is supposed to be a bit dark and edgy, and not the wholesome girl next door type that Benoist was, so I think her look kinda fits that.

This will definitely be the shortest Supergirl yet, with her being only 5'5.

I've never seen her in any role, I'm not convinced but i can't just judge just on physical appearance,
too bad for for Sasha Calle who could have had his own film.
