Out of interest, who did you order from? I'm UK too, and ordered from Forbidden Planet, but haven't heard anything about shipping yet. They estimated late March when I asked them at the end of February.
Indeed. It has faults, but there's a lot that's good too, and all in all a lot of people (including me!) are still willing to buy it. It's not a choice between this or perfect, it's a choice between this or not this. I chose this.
If V2 ever happens, I still think it's extremely unlikely that...
So:
1. How hard do you have to pull to remove the time circuits box?
2. Does that cause any damage?
Or is it too early for anyone to be even thinking about this yet? :wink1:
I'm glad to see that now people have actually got their hands on this, the reaction is pretty positive.
Mine's not due...
Well, it's not an 'all or nothing' thing. The idea is just to identify all the areas that are inaccurate, and try to come up with potential ways to fix/improve them.
Ultimately they are all going to have different difficulties/cost, and everyone will decide what to do (if anything!) and what...
And another thing, comparing the photos in https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/general-collectibles-action-figures/147097-hot-toys-future-1-6-delorean-time-machine-247.html#post8365511
the instrument cluster housing should blend into the top of the dash, whereas it seems to be a seperate...
Are there any specific things that have got worse since the prototypes?
Very carefully written. Amongst all the talk of lighted elements they mention 'one set of time circuits'. This strongly implies that they too are lit, but they don't actually say that outright.
It does look a lot like someone decided that this was costing too much to finish properly, and they decided to cut their losses and ship it before fully completing it.
This would explain the inconsistent detailing. As far as I can see, other than the A-frame error on the door, the exterior...

show seat belt socket (in white).
I agree, would almost certainly be less work to replace the part than mod it that extensively.
Either way, we still need to be able to remove the part without causing damage to the dash...
Indeed. This is what's concerning me most about modding the thing generally - I'm hoping that:
a. these...
Also: Instrument cluster displays (speedo, etc) not lit.
Is '2' referring to the stuff on top of the dash? If not, then that's another one to add.

there should be more wiring.)
