That was how mine was but I had a broken wing also so I just got a replacement without trying anything. My replacement was perfect but you might try a hair dryer to see if it will move at all but the legs are pretty thick so I don't know how well that would work.

I just got mine today and one of the wings were broke so I submitted for a replacement, but I also had an issue with the peg on the right front leg. It is way off and I don't see any amount of pressure getting it over. Sorry for the bad pic, I just used my phone real quick so I could put it back...

I don't think it has been unstable since IE8 or something. I have to use it at work but I use it at home too and have not had any issues for years.
