It was my first Star Wars from Hot Toys, so maybe I'm biased, but I really like him:

I was hesitant to remove the rest of the stitches, but after seeing those pics, I had to do it.

That looks pretty good. I removed the upper part as well, and left the legs. The shirt got a bit baggy but that’s ok, it wasn’t supposed to be skintight spandex in the original.

Season 6 set it up, but the Kenan mini is where we saw exactly how it happened during and after Order 66 for the clones.

I think the Kenan miniseries is where we got the info about how the chip worked.

I hope someday I’ll be able to get this. After Luke, Obi-Wan and Vader, Tarkin is my favorite ANH character. (One of my favorite bits of EU officialia is how there are several stories about how Vader super respects Tarkin in order to explain why Vader is clearly subservient to him in ANH)

That’s no different than having different tools for different purposes, like handguns or automatic rifles. They were still machines, always ready to accept whatever input, without question. And while the chip was what made them less agressive than the template, they weren’t controlled by it...

The second version does that, allowing them the whole spectrum of development while still maintaining the storytelling necessity of the vast majority of them executing Order 66. With the first version, they are just simple minded automatons.
