    spiderman bronze statue (gold?)

The original plan for the bronze series was for 8 pieces: Cap, Hulk, Spidey, Thor, Iron Man, Thing, Namor, Silver Surfer Thor was scheduled to be the 4th "hot cast" bronze statue. Sometime around the Thor Bronze planning stages, Randy got the license/contract to do full-size resin statues of...

    SS please fix Thor's hammer!

Got ya, thanks! Even if it's not fixed, it's no big deal. In fact, I don't think that it's an extra comma at all. I think that it was a nick in the surface of the hammer caused by either Skurge the Executioner's enchanted axe or a little slash mark made by one of Fafnir the Dragon's claws. ;)

    SS please fix Thor's hammer!

I forgot all about this "most grievous punctuation error." Was it in fact rectified? If so, where was it announced?

Thor (The Movie) *Spoiler- contains character images*

Re: Thor (The Movie) That's what I was thinking. But then I recalled that the plan is for much of the action to take place in Asgard. So, the viewer would know the real deal, but Thor's compatriots in the Avengers film would not know the truth. What about this - At the end of the Thor film...

Anyone interested in a Black Costume Spidey Comiquette?

Web of Spidey #1 is perhaps my favorite image of the Black Costume. If it's not my favorite, it's in my top three easy. Yeah, no offense to anyone wanting a PF, but I too echo The Mike's sentiments regarding fabric. I fear that it wouldn't do justice to the piece whatsoever. As far as a...

Anyone interested in a Black Costume Spidey Comiquette?

I know that PFs are the Preferred Formats 'round these parts, but I think that for some characters straight sculpts/comiquettes are the way to go. Case in point with Iron Spidey. And Black Costume Spidey is so sleek, I'd rather it be a pure sculpt. That, and Spidey 2099. Which may get...

Anyone interested in a Black Costume Spidey Comiquette?

I love the look of the Iron Spidey Comiquette, but I think that a Black Costume Comiquette would be even more killer. I know that Bullseye is with me on this. Anyone else? And, what are the chances of something like this getting made? Do any Sideshow reps check out this forum?

Museum Replicas/Windlass Studios: Captain America 1960s Shield

I posted this on statueforum.com after seeing the comparison pics of the Factory X shield and this new one. Looks quite nice, but is it a bit too large? And, it seems too concave. Yeah, like Steve Rogers really wore that thing under his suit jacket in the 60s... The Silver Age was great in...

Which Movie Did you Prefer...IM or TDK?

I enjoyed Dark Knight, but I thought that Iron Man was much more enjoyable. I honestly believe that the death of Heath Ledger contributed more to the film's success than most people acknowledge. For the record, his performance was easily the most engrossing part of the film for me. Dark...

Premium Format Figures or Comiquettes: Which is the "superior" race?

Hey gang, I'm curious as to which type of product you consider as being the ultimate collectible. I ask this because, while I'm looking forward to the PF Thor very much, I wonder if a Thor Comiquette would take the prize. Or, would you argue that they are comparable? Thanks for your insight!

    Iron Man 2 Discussion Thread

Very interesting Mike, thanks for posting that info. I saw Iron Man for the 2nd time last night and it easily remains the most enjoyable film I've seen this year. Granted, I've only seen a handful (Spiderwick Chronicles, Prince Caspian, Hulk, Dark Knight, and Indiana Jones), but for sheer...

I'm afraid to ask: Doing what thing with Iron Spidey?

    Captain America Shield

SLF, That's solid advice, but I'd like to add that once the movie hits, there's a 99.9% chance that there will be at least one more replica of the shield available. The round shield is so iconic it would seem a no-brainer to go with that one, but the knightly shield is very classy. I dare...
