So now that The Fellowship is complete -- and no small feat of course -- and Thorin and Bilbo are on the way, I was hoping Asmus might be able to share a little info on their next villain figure from LOTR? Any news on Lurtz or maybe who might be the next bad guy coming?

I need to know. :)

We need to find a fight for Thorin.

Azog! He's looking great! What kind of material are you thinking about for the body? Visible joints? Or are you thinking seamless vinyl or rubber?

And what about his "prosthetic" arm? (Hoping somehow his hook-claw will be metal.)

Looking forward to seeing more!

yes, and it's the ultimate version to get.

Personally I agree that her coronation dress is the one that no one's done yet. If Asmus decides to throw in her banner, this Arwen would be an insta-buy for a LOT of people.

And imagine if they did an Aragorn re-release, but in his Gondorian coronation outfit instead? Ugh. Insta-buy all the way for both.

Her green dress is just sorely underepresented, and remains a favorite for many Arwen fans. It’s what she’s wearing in the happiest moment she has in the whole trilogy.

We will go with Hot Toys' Hulk way,
the arms and legs will be seamless, but shoulders will have a visible joint. This way we can use unbreakable material.

Fantastic!

(Could I also put in my vote for a snarling expression?)

Really looking forward to this figure! Here's hoping he's 13 or 14 inches tall, too!

Dear Mr Asmus,
Unbreakable material... Could you please elaborate a bit more for those like me not familiar with HT's Hulk figure?
Thanks,
m.

Other than what's done, which is actually a lot more than I was expecting, these are the only ones I'd put in my collection. That being said I don't think my collection would be complete without them;

- Sauron
- Lurtz
- Galadriel
- Arwen
- Elrond (I could live without him but I's have a hard time passing him up)
and MOST importantly; Gollum. But Asmus has their work cut out for them, NECA's is utterly perfect despite the scale. If someone could shrink that down to 1/6 I'd be totally satisfied.
