Here's my attempt at a swinging pose with this guy. I don't usually go for action poses with my figures, but this is one character that seems to demand it. Although not sure how long I should leave him like this...

And here are my two Spideys together. I'm still partial to the Raimi suit design, but this new one is a very close second.

I hope they remake the Raimi with stronger ankles. That’s the only thing preventing me from adding it along side....

I am glad I have had no issues with the ankles on my Rami Spiderman.

Nice display DaveJames and great swing pose; he looks really natural.

So how long did you leave him like that? What was the costume like around his right knee after? If the costume returned to normal in time after being stretched, how long did it take? Was steam or heat used to help? (for those who swear by steam or heat, I would love to see a video demonstrating this - not for the sake of knowing HOW to do it, but just so the effectiveness of it can be documented on video)

This seems to be the best Spidey with the most options to date.

Spider-Man 3 was good for the time but had issues like weak ankles, not short or skinny enough, and easily breakable wrist pegs that showed the joints plus no swap out sculpt.

Black Spider-Man 3 was an improvement on the ankles, wrist pegs, and had a swap out head but showed the wrist joints and was still too tall and buff.

Amazing Spider-Man was an interesting design and an improvement on the proportions but too short for the actor. Also made improvements on the swap out head but easily breakable shoulders this time and wrists still exposed.

ASM2 seemed to be an improvement all around. Better proportions and height. Great design but no swappable head sculpt. The wrists seemed to be better because the joints were covered by the fabric but the swap out fingers were awkward.

This one looks to be better than all the rest just in terms of the improvements on the figure itself. It still has issues like being a bit too tall for Holland and no neck showing for the swap out head but its weaknesses do not out weigh its strengths.

Thanks. I’ve owned all of these figures and can’t wait to get my hands on this one tomorrow. I’m hopeful this will be the pinnacle of Hot Toys engineering merged with the great Marvel design.

When I compare the civil war look to the homecoming look, even though they are supposed to be the same suit, the civil war colors seem to be a bit more muted and darker. It could be lighting but most all Spidey’s scenes in CW were outside. Of course this could be contributed to the CW suit being entirely CG and the Homecoming suit having an actual suit on screen. The colors seem to match the ASM1 figure.

I’m going to reserve judgment in hand but I really do prefer a more muted darker color palette.

Actually I chickened out after a few hours and put him back in a standing pose. :p There was a bit of creasing early on, and I was worried about the black rubber on his right shoulder which was looking pretty bent from the arm being raised up so high, but I checked on it this morning and everything had returned back to normal.

I'm thinking a day or two is the longest you'd want to keep him posed with his arms or legs bent like that. At least assuming you care about long term creasing on the outfit.

my head-sculpt had 2 big seam holes in the middle of the forehead. going to try to exchange as its distracting. my phone wasn't able to capture it clearly so i had to set the image to grey scale to help show it IMG_3563.jpg

Agreed
Best spidey yet

Maybe its just the accessories, but with this figure I really get the impression there is a teenager under the costume. He seems proportioned like a 15 year old.

Anyway, this is my first and last Spidey. Perfection!

I can’t stop staring at him. The colors... it’s just superb. I don’t think I’ve ever had a figure that popped off the shelf like this.
