you should factor in your collecting budget at least getting one XM statue. This is a perfect one to have. Tons of switchout and display options and she's easily recognized as Poison Ivy. Be prepared, their boxes are huge.

That's what I'm thinking.

I came close to pre-ordering this 5 times yesterday ( :lol ). Each time I closed the browser, not tab, browser hah. £1k is obviously a lot and would be the most I have spent on one single piece.

That said, it is unbelievably stunning to look at in the promo pics / and exhibit videos that I really don't want to miss out on it, or risk the secondary market in a year or so. The flip side is that for the price of this gorgeous piece, it's basically cost my planned Japan Holiday hah.

It's the only XM piece I've fallen for, it's just do I do it hah :gah:

These are gorgeous statues, id love both, but yeah, cant justify the price, its just way too much.

If you keep going back to it, and you still love it, I'd say she'll be something you will love. I paid more for Cable (my only xm piece) than I did for the original SS reaper general. I am still obsessing over it. It's a lotta moola, but it'll bring ya joy for a loooong time. I am not a fan of any of the other samurai bats line that they have done. Poison Ivy is such a stand out.

How big (usually) are the XM boxes?

Like a lot of collectors I'm fast running out of space and have yet to trash a artwork box (shippers go in the recycling).

The boxes vary in size according to the statue. They're not boxes you throw away--sturdy black material with the styrofoam held in by velcro straps. Every XM box I've received feels like you're getting a quality collectible.

Thanks Man :duff

Wow.

I really do like how they are expanding the premium quality to the packaging (as should always be the case). It goes without saying these things need to be protected in transit and have a wow factor and feeling of quality when opened by the buyer, especially with the price tags but sadly you don't always get that.

XM's boxes are on a completely different level than Sideshow's. ****, my Wolf Predator LSB from Sideshow came in a plain white box. They're not even trying anymore.

Absolutely. That's the first time I've seen XM packaging and it's as it should be.

Thanos: Seeing some of the damage caused by careless / lazy packaging is a utter travesty! :gah:

Well guys, I did it :panic:
- She's offically pre-ordered :yess: :hi5:

I had a whopping £13 of reward points with collectiblesdirect.co.uk so she came in at £1,083.22 (Shipped)
- ETA Is Oct 2018, but I suspect that will change shortly.

I won't lie, I'm really excited to get not only my first XM but what I'm sure will be my favourite statue (currently Gentle Giant BW)

Thanks for the pics, they honestly helped make my decision.

I've seen some people using their XM boxes as podiums to display their statues on top of. Looks kinda cool, actually, if you have the space.

A possible partial solution to the box storage problem? This has become a major issue for me, within the collecting realm that is.

Congratulations. I think you made a great choice. You'll cut back on a few things but one you get her you'll definitely know it was worth it.

She'll have an entire Besta shelf to herself. :love

I'm going to look into getting a Japanese themed background print, or having one designed to tie in with the design of the piece and some faux ivy and Green / Pink LED lights (probably on either side of the cabinet).

Congrats! I don't have any doubt that you'll be happy you did. XM's prices are higher than Sideshow's, but I think you get way more bang for your buck with XM.
