Missed out on BVS version, so I PO'd it from BBTS this morning. Not crazy about the JL stand, though. Any recommendations on third-party stands?

How people keep comparing it with Prime. Different price and scale.

I think they will make the change.
Even the BvS Superman was advertised for a long time with the MOS sculpt and people were reacting like they are now only for HT to show a new sculpt was included.

BvS Superman never was advertised with a mos sculpt on Preorder Page, new sculpt was revealed before it went up for PO and description clearly said NEWLY DEVELOPED HEAD SCULPT. and this one clearly says ''repaint'' , I'm really disappointed I don't think Prime 1 paint is any better than HT but sculpt itself looks more like Henry and at least it has a proper hairstyle. as I own previous 2 version I don't want to pay 200+ for the lighter costume, especially as I live overseas with import charges it will be at least 300$ for me. very very disappointed.they could modify MOS sculpt instead BVS as hair looks more similar.
I don't own any version of the Hot Toys Supermen, yet I'm gonna pass.
I had great hope for this one, since Hot Toys usually gets better with the head sculpts with each version.
But like you said, with shipping and import fees it will cost me 250 €, and for that price the likeness is not enough.
Really disappointed...

People who are in this hobby for some time don't like spend money on cheap and rushed figures. You will get to that point too, eventually.
On the whole yes people complain too much but it's certainly justified here. Using the previous movies sculpt is bad but they havn't even fixed the hair on the new sculpt lol.
Would it really bankrupt them to make the hair screen accurate even if they can't be bothered making a new facial expression?
This is a great Cavil Superman figure if you don't own the previous version or care that it's not movie accurate.

To charge $245.00 for a rehash, with extra head is price gouging. They done batman and kept him at $234.00, how come superman is not $209.00
Because HT knows they can still milk the hardcore fanboys of a failed franchise.

On one hand, people are thrilled to finally get their "laser eye" head sculpt.
I really didn't pay much attention to the man of steel in the movie to notice the difference. Still don't like Henry Cavill as the man of steel. Can't bring myself to call him Superman.

Not really its a lazy reuse of the bvs head that wasnt very good likeness to begin with. Its not like reusing the civil war black widow head which is steller. The complaints are justified, they only included the heatvision head to entice people to buy this lazy repaint of the same figure. You probably dont own the bvs version in which case this is a no brainer ypu get essentially the same figure as bvs plus the heat vission sculpt for like 30-40 bucks more. For those that own the bvs figure its a complete let down and rip off.
Im not buying it, im buying the prime 1 version instead, it cost alot more but in the long run im saving money cause i wont be buying any new cavill hot toys versions nor any other cavill statues. One and done. Not settling on anymore subpar sculpts with microscopic/marginal improvments with each new release
