Agreed; mine can teeter forward a little but I don't think he'd topple over in any way. Displaying him on something high makes me nervous and the reason I went with a low table. A friend of mine turned me onto a place that does custom display cases but the cost of the case and shipping will run about half the price of the HB itself.

I’m looking at options of displaying HulkBuster. Mind sharing the link to the custom display case website? Appreciate it!!

casesforcollectibles.com, that's the place! Check out the "acrylic display boxes" section; I'm told they do good work. I want to do a 22x22x28...but it'll be costly!

A 20X15X25 inch case runs about $170 on that website. The measurement I gave is listed by widthXdepthXheight. The cases are pretty heavy duty and solid. You can order literally any size configuration up to 72 inches tall or wide.

The IKEA tabletop I have my HB on is 21 5/8" X 21 5/8," so I'd like to do a 22"x22" case that overhangs on all sides. My intent is to add a routed lip around the edge of the tabletop that the case sits on, giving me some room for a somewhat dynamic pose and the ability to add the MK 43 at the front. Of course that's subject to change. Something to note on the case measurements, if you read the banner that flashes across the web page, all measurements given are inside dimensions. Something to keep in mind if you need specific requirements.

The HB is a beast...heavy and rock solid standing. It would take significant/deliberate force to knock him over

I use museum putty under the feet of my 1/6th stuff where I do not use a crotch-grabber or waist grabber stand. It works very well, although it seems no matter how little you put under the foot (roll a small ball, put between the foot and base, then twist back and forth), it eventually gets pushed out from the weight and I have to trim the excess off by scraping with a toothpick or something.

Not sure if it would work for something this large, but couldn't hurt I guess.

Thank you all for your input and advice. I preordered it through SS and hopefully I"ll get one. I ended up pulling my KA HB and not selling at the moment. That thing is gorgeous! I got a great deal on it. Someone on ebay was selling it and the mk43 for $275. Can you believe it???

What are the odds you guys think I'll get a HB and those on the wait list? Pretty good or no chance?

I think there is a pretty good chance that you will get one.

Yes I remember reading your post and have been refreshing that site like a million times daily lol. Thank you! Hopefully either SS or BBTS pans out. Although going through bbts would be ideal as i wouldnt have to pay the tax.

I feel like you probably would have a good shot at BBTS since they don’t do payment plans vs sideshow which does.

Really? Why do you say that? Have there been a lot of cancellations on bbts for this HB?

Do you remember what day and time you found the preorder available at bbts? I was thinking maybe they add preorders back once a week or two weeks vs when they actually cancel?

I did get the acrylic base. It is pretty thick and solid and doesn’t bend at all. I wouldn’t worry about it bending. It’s actually included in the price. If you don’t want it they knock $3 off.

It lays perfectly flat and I have had it almost 2 years.

I haven't found a definitive answer for this. Does Sideshow allow people to use Reward Points on Waitlisted items, if they convert?
