I like the figure overall (and great review), but those are some strange body proportions - big barrel chest and seemingly very short legs... and Luke's left hand in this pic is one of the worst cases of monkey arms since the old Sideshow Luke Jedi. His left hand almost seems to come down to his knees. Is the hand pushed all the way in the wrist socket?

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Lol. Didn't even notice the hand until the next day. Lol. I tried pushing it in further to see if that was the issue, but it doesn't. You can probably remedy this by just using another hand from another figure that's close in comparison, or a smaller wrist pig might help a little bit. In the end using another hand is probably the best bet.

Also, FYI - you mentioned the hand sculpts - other than the robot one, the hands are a 100% re-use of the HT Obi Wan Kenobi hands (which is slightly weird for some reason - not sure why.:lol)

Nice catch! I don't have their Ben Kenobi. Hot Toys just gets lazy sometimes, like with all their re-uses of bases, etc. They probably figured, "hey Luke is as old Ben, if not older than he was in a New Hope, let's do it". Lol.

I'm thinking that they didn't give the hair a lot of lift or volume because it would interfere with displaying him with the hood up. Looks like a happy medium.

Nice pic! :clap

Although with that mind trick hand, that all but confirms they're a reuse of the ANH Kenobi hands. :lol

Because this outfit is so scene-specific, you kinda wish they'd done an alternate hair sculpt that was wind-blown, but I can't think of a single figure that has sculpted "windy hair." Maybe it's just too difficult to achieve.

The obvious one might have been Luke Jedi to get his sail barge pose but all they did was do the "blurred saber" effect instead of windy hair.

Great pose/pic!:clap

Yeah, the lack of weathering may be a bit of an issue with this fig. Luke really did look like a grizzled homeless guy in that scene - here he looks like he's just gotten out of the shower and gotten dressed to receive another medal.:lol

Yeah, it was funny seeing people go "oh, look at that forest stand" that the new Luke Endor comes with - when it was a reuse from Chirrut, which was a reuse from Predator...:lol

Officially, that hand is called the prostate check hand.:lecture

Is that ARM really that long or pic distortion? HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that one hand is definitely too big. Makes him look like a gorilla. lol.

In every pic he has that barrel chest. Maybe it's a bit of a padded fat suit that can be removed?

Has a bit of this look:

Severe monkey arms and slight proportions issues aside, the figure looks good overall. Beard's maybe a bit off. The headsculpt does seem to capture Luke from a few angles, especially with the hood up to cover the "shower hair" look. It does seem more like Vogue male model Luke versus an old friend now rendered homeless Luke but HT also "prettied up" Ben a bit as well,

one thing I did notice is that HT got the tabbards/"vertical strips" color wrong - should be tan like the main torso color, not white like the sleeves - though it does make the outfit look a bit more visually interesting and "Jedi-ish."

remarkable how close they got the cape fabric. It's like the exact same color and weave.:clap

Belt buckle looks a little odd on the figure - almost like a little TV screen that's turning off as opposed to the more even weathering on the costume, but I'm guessing that will vary a lot figure to figure.

Colors on the robe are off too. And looks like they added the white part. Kind of reminds me of a priest

It actually looks pretty good in this comparison.

Some outfit discrepancies, gorilla arms and hair and beard inaccuracies are what plague this figure in my opinion. The facial likeness is there though I think and the upper torso proportions in my opinion also seem to be there based on that comparison. Having the hood up though really improves it.

Looking at that comparison shot they really got a lot right. Darken those tabbards, lessen the chest size, maybe shorten the arms. Doesn't look like weathering is really needed. Just a few tweaks.

Maybe I am looking at different pictures than you guys......or maybe I dont have the same rose colored glasses for everything SW.

This misses the mark just about every way possible....

The more I look at it the worse it gets.....looks like another mediocre SW entry from HT.
