It's a shame HT didn't just create a brand new Mk II cause then they could have used it to sell a Mk III 3.0.

It's like those guys don't wanna make money! :lol

Preorderd today from forbiddenplanet.com, despite the hefty £360 price tag. My first Iron Man and my favourite suit. [emoji5]

You're being sarcastic right? Ha

so all they have to do is fill all the rivet holes in 100,000 separate parts(across an entire figure run) to turn the MKII into the MKIII. Nope. The MKII with rivets shares virtually no parts with the MKIII regardless of how similar it LOOKS.

But they also haven't re-engineered it entirely from scratch either have they? This isn't like going from mkII 1.0 to mkII AU where everything has been redesigned from the ground up.

Pretty sure that's not how it works ...

How does it work?

Fill the holes on the molds...?

Anyway:

I dont see why people keep saying the armor looks the same.

Looking at actual product pictures, it looks taller with better proportions.
As I mentioned before, the MkIII looks like a midget.

PO'd! Really hope they give more side-to-side articulation in the ankles though.... seems like the same design as the Mk III which was disappointing.

£360 at Forbidden Planet when less than a year ago the mk 3 was £250! :cuckoo:

Hey y'all I think we should all put in a collective effort and all voice our disdain for the short, midget-y Mk II.

Hit JC Hong up on Instagram (@j.c.hong) and let him know you want a taller Mk II!!!!!

We can do it!

Where's Ski lo when you need him?

How precisely are you seeing that it's taller? You can't tell what the height is since there's nothing to compare it to.

The specs have this one listed as one of the shortest new Diecast releases, which roughly translates to Mk III 2.0 Diecast re-paint.

I have the unleashed armor and that just looks sleaker because of the color scheme even though the proportions are the same. I guess we won't know until it's released, but that fact that there's even the slightest question about this makes me not want to preorder.

But in all seriousness, we should voice our grievances to the man himself though!

I think it would only help our cause if we all let him know we don't want a lazy Mk III 2.0 re-paint re-release! We want an impressive Diecast release from scratch ala the WM Mk I Diecast!

And as I stated before...

I agree. I was pumped when I saw they were releasing the Mk. II in diecast, but upon hearing about its midget height it made me realize this was nothing more than a re-release, re-paint of the midget-y Mk III 2.0.

What? :lol I'm betting 100% it's the exact same mold and height as the Mark 3 DC. I see zero difference.

Every single panel line, detail (besides the revits) line up the same. Only difference is they realized that people hated the swap out abs so they just engineered it to have a small joint for it to spin.

They still didn't even bother giving it proper ankle articulation.
