That's an excellent list.

You forgot this one man. :wink1:

Now you just need to find someone who can manifest it in a photoshopped pic. I think listing the issues is one thing, but giving them a visual representation to shoot towards really helps.

Yeah I don't have the software, otherwise I would do it, sorry. :(

Day one preorder for me, along with Batman. Very happy these are being released. I'm slowing transition into the 1/4 realm

Are HT 1/4 figures like statues, static? Like SS PF? Or are they more movable. ALSO are they plastic?

Does the sculpt look okay in person or the likeness still lacking?

I thought it looked fine. You can tell it's Ledger perfectly well, but I'm not one of those guys that will nitpick every wrinkle and eyebrow hair. I'm sure someone here will find fault with it.

Cool, good to hear and thanks for the reply.

I think people expect it to look more than fine though, that's why a lot of people are disappointed with what they are seeing. They want the sculpt to look as good as the Bale sculpt for the BB 1/4 scale one, and the truth is it just doesn't appear to have that same wow factor. So it's not that a lot of people think the sculpt sucks, they just feel undrwealmed by it.

People always expect perfection with these figures, but how many times has that actually happened? I look at it and see Ledger as the Joker. I'm not going to view this from 3" away, and from normal viewing distance it looks fine. That is either ok with people or it's not because the production piece isn't going to get any better than this. Trust me, I get the frustration someone feels when a piece doesn't meet their expectations--it happens to me over and over with this hobby--but at some point, you just have to deal with it.

As far as Ledger's Joker, it's never happened, but a lot of sculpts from other characters by Hot Toys do look perfect, not saying they are though.

Well since they have never changed the production sculpt on a Ledger Joker from the proto sculpt yet, I would say you are correct.

Either that or just pass on the piece.

BTW thanks for the great high quality pictures. Despite the issues I have with the sculpt, I still think it still will be a great figure overall, the body looks so much better than EBs as it looks more in proportion. I actually hated how the EB Joker looked when displayed the same way.

I think Darkavatar made a good point. Its not that its bad, it doesn't impress as much as the Bale sculpt on the 1/4th.

That Bruce Wayne head is impressive, it looks just like him, even to the most nitpicky collectors.

any thoughts when this is ready for preorder?

This isn't a really high priority. Well, that's my guess. They have to announce all those Guardians because they already have 3.0 versions with Infinity Wars. Then there's a couple of Star Wars figures and I guess a Batman figure from JL. Oh and the Wonder Woman figure from the solo movie should be announced around the release of the bluray. All guesses of course but it seems logical that Hot Toys will give releases that are hyped/popular right now.

I find it extremely laughable about the amount of minute nitpicking in here of the sculpt, and then you can go to all the community made crappy headsculpts of various characters including the Joker, and people think they look great with no nitpicks... bloody hell!

I'm glad it's not just me. Maybe it's just my old(er) eyes, but when I see a lot of comparison pics it makes me feel like I'm at the optometrist when they get down to the last two choices in lenses: There might be a difference, but it's hard for me to definitively say which is better.

Folks certainly have the right to think what they want. Personally, I'm excited for this figure. I haven't decided if I'm going to get it or not as space limitations keep it hard enough just for sixth scale figures. Also, I'll be able to get two JL sixth scale figures for the price of the QS Joker. OTOH I'd LOOOOOOOOVE to have this guy standing next to my QS001
