Being corrected about his posture by his piano teacher is what pushed him to the dark side. It's in the return of the Jedi novel.

On a side note, if nearly everything is priced at "TBD", you can just leave it off that little placard.

They include prices for all the released figures like RO Vader and those up for pre-order. It's probably for the uninitiated who are stopping by and might otherwise ask reps constantly what the prices are.

No word on the throne yet.

I now see what was meant in regards to the wide shoulders, based on that RotJ screen shot. He had really narrow shoulders in those scenes.

As for the pose, he's definitely slouching "too" much, the way they have him posed. Not sure if it's due to the chair or the limitations of the figure body posing.

It's absolutely awesome. Must have, and really hope the throne is an option because I'd be all over it.

If they put Palpatine on the same body as Tarkin, it should work fine, his shoulders are quite narrow.

Going off this pic though, the shoulders seem no narrower than the Sideshow figure, or the head not high enough off them.

I'm guessing you're aiming for something like this?

Exactly. :)

The closest I got with the original body was this (can't hotlink anymore, photobucket...): https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v152/187-Maul/Collection Koeln/IMG_2787_2_small.jpg
And with the custom body (and other modifications), I got to this: https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v152/187-Maul/Star Wars/IMG_6674_small.jpg

Oh yeah, I already forgot about that pic. :slap I like the looks of it there, not perfect, but we'll have to see after some proper futzing. Angling the head up might do wonders.
Either way, can't wait for more pictures and reveals. He's one of the few figures I'm excited for at the moment.

Nice. So evil looking, I feel like the hood maybe looks a little thick, but really it's too hard to judge much of this figure with him posed the way he is.

Hmm... finally a somewhat decently lit close-up of what we can see so far. Looks decent. Odd way to reveal the figure. 95% of what you can see here was delivered reasonably well by Sideshow years ago.

People want to see a dead-on Palps with calm/mocking and enraged headsculpts delivered in HT's ultra-real sculpt/apps... this is more tease than a reveal (you can see about as much of his face as we saw on Luke Jedi and Tarkin in their teases.):(

Hopefully there will be a nice clear standing-up pic showing sculpt/s before the end of SDCC so we can really judge the figure.

I wish we had a good pic of his eyes. For me at least it's hard to tell whether I like the sculpt or not. I like how HT gave him his insidious grin but at the same time I almost wish they went with a more standard expression. That being said the grinning head sculpt will be perfect when displayed with Vader and Luke crossing their lightsabers when the two first start their final duel.

If I get the chair, I'd probably pose him sitting upright forward with him pointing a finger. Those pictures make him look like he's waiting for a lap dance

My guess is he's not finished and they are. I willing to show the sculpt.
Thank god it's ROTJ Palps.....no sign of the ROTS in the sculpt so dar

The chair is nice, but so many unanswered questions about the figure - will he have force lightning hands? Will they light up? If so, they would have to give him an enraged HS. Where are all these things?
