I think the fighting I've seen so far is actually pretty cool because it's unconventional. And the drama works on that level, too. You just have to get out of the expectation that you're getting a traditional super hero story.

If Iron Fist should have been played by an Asian guy, does that mean that Matt Murdoch should have been played by a blind actor and have the show use only blind directors? This political correctness crap confuses me to the point where I'm not even sure what's supposed to be offensive anymore.
Yeah, and the worst of all are those terrible Star Wars movies with the female protagonists. GIVE IT A BREAK, LIBERAL ELITE HOLLYWOOD!!!

And straw-man crap like that is exactly the reason there's been such a backlash against political correctness.

Just finished the season, and what the hell kinda cliff hanger (no pun intended) was that? All the Marvel Netflix had an ending except this series. On another note, his ground punch was pretty cool in the last episode.
Overall, not a bad series, now that we got the origin story out of the way, season 2 should be better with more action and hopefully Finn Jones gets more martial arts lessons so he can look as good as DD when fighting.

So happy that I remained committed to this show because the quality of the pay off keeps increasing.

I am absolutely enjoying his mystical journey.

I have been watching a bunch of youtube reviewers that has seen the whole season and almost everyone said it was good, not great but good. I really dont know what the hell the initial reviewers agenda was after only seeing the first six episodes was cause by now we have all seen it, and it is not as bad as they trashed it. Bunch of assh@les I tell you.

Well, Iron Fist has more time to develop ideas and characters. Suicide Squad, I think, tried to fit too much into one movie.

The rt rating is really absurd. This is about 50 times better than Suicide Squad.

Yeah hard to compare a 2 hour movie to a 13 hour movie.

I'll judge IF only to the other Netflix superhero shows and maybe the LOTR EE. :lol

The only other shows I can compare it to are Daredevil and Arrow. Similar themes with both. In this regard Daredevil was better, but I like Ironfist better than Arrow. Even at th beginning Arrow was an eye roller to me. It seems like the producers of Iron Fist looked at that show and worked the story more.

2 eps in, still find some of it boring. Every time they are in the office building I zzzz out. Though I will say the Psychiatric hospital scenes were a lot better, but I still need to get used to Jones' acting.

I found the psych hosp stuff to be very unnerving and claustrophobic.

How one could so easily be trapped, diagnosed and then ruined at the hands of wealthy individuals who wield the power to influence others to do their bidding.

Scary ****.

I really enjoyed this show. Knowing that Finn didn't have much time to prepare for the role he still did a great job. Hoping the next season, with more time, the fights and acting will be even better. To me this was better than JJ or LC but no where near as good as DD. Can't wait for the Defendors.

Gao is such an incredible villain.

I went from thinking it was the weakest of the Netflix shows to now being equal to DD.

If the last 4 episodes land this will be the one to break the 13 episode curse!

So just binge watched the 1st 5 episodes... Lot of boring unnecessary filler. It's Ok so far. Still not hooked in yet. Anything is better than Jessica Jones, and I'd still put Luke Cage above this at this point. Daredevil still tops. But I'm starting to not care about these Netflix shows. Too long and drawn out. If a movie can make you be invested in a character in 2+ hours, These shows need to pick up the pace. It really feels drawn out after 5 hours and still not caring much about Danny Rand. But of course, I'll continue to watch till the Defenders at least.
