I don't follow the marketing, only seen the initial trailer.
Just heard from a friend that the Covenant is full of pairs...
And that one of them (pairs) is gay...
Is that true?

Sending a gay couple doesn't make the most scientific sense to me on a mission of procreation with that few of participants.

Lets say everyone dies of disease but the gay couple, well there goes their mission.

So they're spending billions to send just a handful of humans really far away and then they diminish their chance of success by including a gay couple, wut.

I mean I can see if they were sending a milion humans on this far trip then ok, if you want to add gay couples because they have qualifications above others then so be it.

Oh well, maybe they already have all the embryos needed for procreation onboard, I don't know.

Sex is not part of it I guess. It should be or I ain't going.

they are sending a couple of extra guys in case the straight guys dont work out, then the ladies have extra choices, just think of it as a spare pair

That is correct, one of them could identify as a black woman which doesnt make it gay.

I have also wondered the same thing.

I think the aspect of sending couples is very interesting, this is sci-fi thinking, I like that.

Although I have to ask why send the seemingly gay couple? They seem like an odd choice to send to colonize and populate in an expedition that I can only imagine cost more money than there is on earth today. It's only a question, one that I hope gets resolved in the movie.

Also, I only say they're gay because it's been implied online, because of the kiss scene, maybe they're just very good bros still the question remains.

Or maybe there's a designated mother, that'd be another cool exploratory sci-fi twist.
