Sorry dude but this post is well out of context. The guy asked for an opinion and was torn down for it, just for not being sure if there's a problem or not. There was no need for people to get personal. The only opinion he received was about him, this wasn't fair.

Ive been in situations before where I'm not sure if there's a fault or if I'm being picky, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Oh God, seriously? In no way, shape or form did I ever attack him personally or tear him down in my reply. Feel free to let me know where I was so horrible enough that I'm not even a "good person" now, according to him. To be honest, I wasn't even sure he was being serious:

As for the eye spaces...not to be rude but...really...?! Dude, it's so not worth the THOUGHT about exchanging when there are figures out there with ACTUAL problems.

J

I give him his answer which everyone so far has echoed. He just off-handedly decided I was being rude SOLELY because he didn't like my answer. He got personal with me when all I did was answer his question. But that's cool. I do agree with him on one point though....this is ridiculous, I'm too old for this **** and I have bigger, actual problems I'm trying to shoulder.

You'll have to ask Malgus why he went off how he did, though.

Reading someone's tone is difficult on a forum as it is, I guess your use of upper case triggered the guy (it does come across as a snarky post, even if not intended). Malgus however went straight for the personal though ("you should be banned from SS & you're more trouble than you're worth"), I can't see any way to spin that and it was uncalled for.

We're all adults and have a passion for this hobby; perhaps we need to have more patience with each other. This is a great place for like minded people to ask for advice/share stories and photos and I want it to stay that way; I love posting here :)

Fantastic head sculpt from OSK. Gotta say that the neck is too long. I didn't really think of the feet joints for when he's dusting crops in his clogs.

I think you're being unfairly harsh. These figures aren't cheap, customers have every right to expect good quality and this guy was only asking if it's an issue or not, so wind your neck in fella.

You are right these figures are not cheap. People like him certainly do not help keep the costs down by nit picking and asking for replacements for "issues" that only they see. I have this figure. To even notice something like that he probably put a magnifying glass to it or held hit 2 inches from his eyes. People like him tie up customer service resources with their nonsense and we all pay. They increase the cost of doing business and that costs definitely gets passed on to the customers.

Eh I agree to an extent. But I agree with the others on here, you did kinda go off on him wrongly. Ultimately he was asking the forum a genuine question - not screenshotting a message he'd sent to SS demanding a replacement for a terrible defect. If that was the case then maybe getting harsher might be more deserving lol.
Let's just move on though. I was looking on ebay for some over the top 1/6 weaponry to go with Deadpool. Gatling guns, launchers, stuff like that. There's some cool chinese stuff but a lot of them seem to be made from metal alloy so I'm not sure if they'll be too heavy to use for posing.
Still keeping an eye out for that 1/6 unicorn...

Take the neck peg thing out. Mine doesn't look like that at all.
Not a big deal. So it sits in the neck space without the ability to look up and down? There's too much that can be done with the figure. Only kept the neck peg like the Deadpool head. Thanks for the helpful tip.

Are you kidding? Sideshow should just cancel your account and ban you from ordering from them.

This is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. Unbelievable.
PS: I said > "SHOULD" i ask them for a replacement. I didn't said "I WANT" a replecement parts.
My own quote. :

Some eye pieces fit almost perfectly and some have gaps around them. This is normal or should i ask Sideshow for a replacement parts ?

That exactly what I was asking for. A good advise from fellow collectors.
BTW > Merry Christmas !

The fact that you would even consider asking for a replacement for a microscopic "issue" like that means you are very likely the customer from hell that will get out the magnifying glass and flash light and go over the figures from 2 inches away and will find "fault" in every one you receive. I could be wrong about you but maybe not.

A benign consideration is never something to discourage, and it certainly is not something to vilify someone over. Predarnold's inquiry was simple, unassertive, and legitimate. To treat it as blood in the water is telling of an aggression that lies outside of anything to do with Predarnold or what she/he asked.

Just got some time to open this guy up; he's been sitting on the dining room floor for 3 days. Overall very happy with how he turned out. I don't have an issue, right now, with the cuffs. Nothing seems to be rubbing and wearing down of the material. I do have extra material overlaid at the wrist socket. I could see how that may open up or come undone with continuous posing. But, there seems to be enough slack in the arm that it's not pulling at the material at the wrist. Based on talk and images I've come across I thought I would be worried about the red portion of the outfit with prolonged posing. It turns out I'm more worried about the black material. I just feel there is more potential in that tearing or tearing at the seams with some of the arm movements. I do like this one more than the SS's version and I do like their's more than same around here. Although, with that one I'm not worried about damage when posing

The only concern I have is the actual suit holding up over time, I don't pose my figures in extreme poses or even repose them much, but the fact that this is a fake leather material makes me weary. Some of Hot toy fake leather holds up great, I think of the MMS117 T-800, a figure that's been out for about 7 years or so and no issues, but recently my MMS95 John Connor Jacket started to fall apart, I have had that figure out on display for nearly 7 years as well and last month the patch fell off, the rest cracked apart in the removal process of the jacket.

I found a replacement thankfully but while removing the original jacket it completely fell apart.

Not displayed in direct sunlight or posed often, always displayed in a glass case

Now I haven't opened my Deadpool yet, I'm only a few hours away as its my Christmas present :blissy But I'm hoping it isn't anything like Connors leather:panic:

Do let us know what your opinion is on the fake leather once you crack it open @Skull.
Liked your Connor video btw, new jacket looks great man.

Merry Xmas everyone

I don't think you (we) have anything to worry about it deteriorating. The material feels like one piece and not layers. The issue with Connor is that it was layered. The pleather was laid over the "fuzzy" material. The pleather had to be thin so as not to make it bulky. Similar to the soft German boots. I have some of those and they too have started to peel and fall apart. I also have the Connor figure. I haven't checked it in a long time, so I hope that it survived. If not I'll go the route you have taken.

P.S. Prior to actually having the figure in hand I thought that the material was like the HT Arkham Batman suit. That worried me. Now that I have it I'm glad it's not that rubber material.

You got it and thanks very much,

Merry Christmas to you:)

Agreed, there's more examples of good fake leather than bad with hot toys, all the terminator figures like the T800's and Marcus, except Connor, the Xmen 3 Wolverine, Origins Wolverine, the nightmare Batman, 89 BATMAN cape, Bane and Naked Snake come to mind as all holding up great. Only dud's were the Connor's Jacket, Watchmen figure although that may have been a rubber issue, not sure as I didn't have that and that's all I can think of.

So yeah odds are it will do just fine.
