Looks like Optimus Worshop photographs a lot of VTS/DAMTOYS figures for them. But the conditions he took these under are largely unflattering.

The sunlight's so bright it's like taking a photo with the flash on, and I know how that destroys head sculpts from my own attempts at photography.

Holy cow, this thing looks awesome! Only gripe I can find is that his exposed arm has no paint detail on it. Otherwise I'm super happy with how it turned out--personally I never cared about complete movie accuracy since it's not even an official figure.

I agree the lighting doesn't seem to be doing the paint any favors, but I think it looks pretty close to Hardy already and look forward to more pics! Still excited!

Good point about the arm. May need to dirty that up some myself.

Yep. I'm not worried accept that it looks like the facial hair was skipped.

he needs to be rolled around in the dust a few times , once weathered up a bit on the arms and cloths this will be Ace

I don't know... figure has a lot of gear but looks a little clunky to me.

Would like to see it without the strappy vest.

I really like what I see so far . I love the paint they use on there figures . Very vibrant and rich colors . It also looks exactly like the prototype for anyone who said it doesn't look like tom hardy . This is the preorder picture . Really nice job VTS !

Pretty sure Max had a dog in one or two of the original movies. It's likely referencing that.

I think it's an homage to the original Max. (Mad Max 2).

I can see Hardy slightly in the sculpt but I'm seeing more of DiCaprio.

It's a good base figure... but definitely needs weathering and not such a contrast between black and tan.
