At least FOX didn't whitewash Doom.
Depending on your POV, they kinda did. Doom is an Easten European Romani, so he should be "olive-skinned", like most people in EE. A mistake many artists do is that they make his eyes blue, like most European monarchs, when in reality, they're brown.

My father comes from Psarra, the island that was torched during the revolution (it still remains a barren, scorched place), and my mother comes from Asia Minor, specifically Ai Vali, which is where the Greek Genocide took place. It still hasn't been recognised though, which is a shame, as it happened close to the Kurd and Armenian ones. So, yeah, you can't get more Greek than me, roots wise.

I thought that was half-way decent casting initially. But of course, his Doom was handled all wrong, and turned out to be a joke.

In the first film, they turned him into Norman Osborn.
I really dug him in the second film. Really wish the movie wasn't crap.
I really liked his "suit"/look, truth be told. The concept art looked great as well:

From the moment it was announced, Disney/MCU fanboys took to the internet to destroy it. Then the fanboys who call themselves "certified" critics finished the job opening week.
Another reason why I hate MCU disciples. They'll praise garbage like Ant-Man but bash Trank's FF.
