Wish I hadn't bought the Sideshow R2 or 3PO now. I guess either I'll try and sell it or maybe use it as the version on Jabba's sail barge. I think I'll hold off on any future Star Wars releases from Sideshow going forward.

I reckon I'll hold off on the SS Maul, Hot Toys is bound to make some prequel figures eventually.

Yeah, they added the sound, DC and lights to bring R2 into the $230 range. And 3PO will be in the Chewy range - $260-ish. So yeah, a two pack will be closer to $500 than $400.

It's funny that people aren't really noticing the sculpt errors in the dome. SSC's sculpt is more accurate. Maybe they had to change things for the DC.

Of course I'll get this - because it'll be too long to wait for an OT version. I will keep the Sideshow version to use with my Dagobah Hut.

Diecast, remote control sounds and lights...
I'm really glad I held off on the SS version.

He looks great but the third leg is still too long like SS's. At least he'll be a hit with the ladies.

Possibilities:

DC comics
Daniel Craig
Diecast
District of Columbia
David Carradine

Direct Connect
Dire Consequences
Degrees Celsius
Department of Corrections
Direct current
Deep conscious
Dave Chappelle

No, it's just pulled out too far, like SS's. With the right posing, that won't be an issue. (And great joke! Hey-oh!)
